A faithful nagra man 66 ar 60 yonraof figa, belonging to Jaha Naal, Esq., of Atlanta, ac es m pan lad tha “Gala City Guarda,” from At lanta lo Maooo aa Fifar, without any Expec tation of going further, and having a son liv ing in Macon, whom of oourae ha wished (o visit. Yesterday morning I received a latter from Mr. Neal, saying one of his sons was a member of a Volunteer Company of Quincy, Fla., and en roots for Penaaeola, tin Mootgom ary, Ala., aod requested me to see Glasgow— inform him of hia young master being in the army, and that he desired Glasgow to meat him at Montgomery, and to request Capt. Ex- zard, of tha “Gate City Gurrds” to let Glas gow oontinue with his company as far as Montgomery, to moat young Neal, all of which was arranged as desired, aod rouob to Glas gow’s joy. Lata yesterday evening Glasgow called upon me, accompanied by bis son, to have his worldly affairs arranged, (as all prudent men do when embarkingTn baxardous enterprise s ;) and slated he wished it to be "put in writing ” for him, that if ho never returned, or fell in "de service and defence of de country, be wished his money to be paid over to his son Washington, (wbo was present with him,) that his young master in Atlanta had it loaned out for him—mentioned what it would amount to next Christmas—(a very handsome sum.) I promised him in presence of witnesses I would reduce his nun cupative trill to writing, and send it to bis master, wbo would faithfully carry it out, 1 knew. 1 bade Glasgow farewell, and with a hearty shake of bands, he lefit me, satisfied he had arranged his pecuhiary affairs properly, and rejoicing that he would soon be with his " young mas ter” in Montgomery to share bis fortunes in defsnee of Southern Rights and Southern in stitutions. Wonder wbat Greeley, "el id omnr genus," thinks of such evidence, (and there will be thousands of such whenever opportunity offers, throughout the entire slave States,) of dissatisfaction of our negroes—their feelings and attachments to their masters ? Muedbb Will Out.—AU aewspeper readers remember the accounts, published at the time, relative to the atrocione and mysterioos mur der of young MiHer, in the Union Bank, at Jaokeon, Tenn., and the robbing of the bank, about two years ago. A Jaokson paper, a few days since, intimated that a prominent and well known citisen of the place was suspeet- ed of being the author of the dreadful crime, and had fled from the place. The " Banner,” of Nashville, baa learned something further in regard to the matter, and ito issue of Sun day says: " We learn verbally that this suspeoted per son is Mr. John S. Miller, a prominent mer chant of Jackson, a man of high standing, and unole of this unfortunate victim. The evi dence against him wss sntirely circumstantial, but seems to have been strong enough to in dues him to seek safely in flight. Among other thiogs it is known, ae we are informed, that previous to the murder his affsirs were very much embarrassed, aad he appeared greatly harrasied on acoouot of the faet.— Subsequently to the murder he paid off his liabilities and went on again swimmingly." Exciting GoldStoet.—The Denver "Moun taineer” tells an exciting gold story about a party of Uto Indiana, who sold a quantity 6f gold nuggets to Mr. Pfeifer, Indian agent at Taoe. A Mexican, a oaptain among them for twenty veers, said they obtained the gold at the head waters of the Gila, and rolled aad pounded them into bullots, somo of which were produced. Kit Carson took the matter in hand and got the Mexican to go with him as guido to the plaee. Unless there is some mistake about the mattrr. Kit will return a rich man.
