Tha Confederate troops—about 600— mads ao resistance, but retreated in good or der, in full view of the enemy, to Fairfax Sta tion, about tan miles from Alexandria. Gen. Bonham, of the Booth Carolina Brigade, is at Manassas Gap, with a Brigade, ooneisting ef Col. Greggs and Col. Ktrahaw's South Caro lina Regimsnts, numbering 1,600 men, and has command of Gen. A Confederate Steamer Seized—Large Accessions to the Federal Forces-Arm* of Baltimoreans Seized-(bnfederate Boys in Good Spirits- More Troops Wanted. We condense the following from tbe special correspondence of the Charleston " Courier Richmond, May 22.--About 1,500 North Car olina troops arrived here this morning. The South Carolina Regiments hove rectiv- orders to held themselves in readiness to move to Manassas Junction to-morrow. Aluxanokm, May 22.—Lincoln, for the past two months, bss seised all the telegraphic dis patches sent North as far as New York, with a view of obtaining information of Southern movements, and avideace against Northern sympathisers. C. L. L. Leary has pledged himself to the unconditional support of Lincoln, and has been nominated to Congress in the Fourth Dis trict of Baltimore, by a vote of 36 to 29. The steamer James Gray was seised oa the Potomac river yesterday and carried to Wash ing ton. The New York Second Regiment has arriv ed in Washington via of Baltimore. Eleven more Regiments are to follow immediately. Eight companies of Regultrs have been re cruited for Lincoln in Baltimore. Four hundred and eighty muskets and fif teen hundred pikes, the property of tbe city ( have been seised in Baltimore and in tha 8tate.
