Uij4. Baltimore, Juaa 12.—Gen. Butler hae moved several regiments to dislodge tbe Southerners at Greet Bethel, nine miles from Hempton.— At Little Bethel, the German regiments miste king e signal, fiirsd on Col. Townsend’s col umn, marching in close order, with two piecee of artillery. Other aocounta say that Town send’s regiment fired first. Uis fire was harm- ; but the German’* fire killed one and wounded two. The Albany regiment being be hind, discovered by the accoutrements on the field, that tha supposed enemies were friends, but they had previously fired nine rounds. Col. Duryea’s Zouaves, hearing the firing, turn ed and fired en the Albany regiment. At day-break t*o regiments moved from Fortress Monroe, to support the main body.— Little Bethel was burned, and the Army ad v anted to we/d • Great Bethel. Arriving there, they could tee no men and no batteries. They coaid only tee the fleehee of the Confederate guns, and their comrades falling. A wall con certed movement might have secured posset sion of the entrenchment, but General Pierce seemed to have lost hie wile. Lieht* Grebbe, U. B. A., and 24 others were killed, and 100 wonnded. There ie intense indignation against Gen. Pieros for not having ordered an earlier flight of the Federalists. Marshal Kan* has sworn in one thousand Seoeeaionista as special patrol men at the spe cial eleetion for Congressmen. Marshal Bonifant will absent himself from Baltimore, leaving his Deputy in charge, on election day—some say from want of nerve. The Siratogi of the Confederate Stitei: CATOOSA SPRINGS J.
