And be it further enacted, That there shall be levied, collected end paid, on each aud every non-enumerated article which bears asimilitude, either in material, quality, text ure, or the uses to which it may be applied, to any enumerated article*chargeable with duty, the same rate of duty whica ia levied and charged on tho enumerated article by the fora- going schedules which it moat resembles in auy of tho particulars before mentioned; aad if any non-enumerated article equally resem bles two or more enumerated articles on which different rates of duty are chargeable, there shall he levied, collected and paid on such nou-euumerated article, the same rate of duty as is chargeable on the article whioh it resem bles paying the highest duty.
