It is to consist of four companies of Cavalry, of eighty men etch; of four companies of Light Infantry, to aot with the Cavalry, es Voltigeurs; of two companies of Heavy Infantry, and one of Ar tillery. The FULTON DRAGOON8 have tendered to form part of this Legion. This Legion is expected to go into Ser vice before the 15th of August, but the e *mpaniee to be selected IN A WEEK; and to be thoroughly drilled befoie going into Fulton Dragoons want about serviee. The fifty able-bodied men, who can furnish good horses, and a cheap uniform. Gov. Brown will arm ua—the Legion ia to be tendered through him. Here is offered a fine opportunity of going inlo service, in a Regiment of novel organisa tion, of picked companies. A distinguished member of the Confederate Congress, from Georgia, who gets up this Legion, will doubt less be appoiuted Colonel; the other field offi cers—Lieutenant Colonel, Major and Adjutant are to be appointed by the President, from ex perienced Army offloers. We appeal to the patriotism of our citiseos, not only of Fulton, out of other counties, who feel disposed to join the Fulton Dragoons, to send in their names at once lo us, or to regis ter their names at thestoreof Lieut. T HE undersigned, Commissioners of the Con federate Btatee Loan, in and for the State of Georgia, announce to the public that the hooka for the subscription to this Loan are re opened at the following points, uamely: Sa vannah, Augusta, Macon,Columbus, Millvdge- ville, Rome. Atlanta, Athena, Washington and Albany. Wo will send books, Ac., to other points, if requested to do so, and it be deemed expedient by us. Five millions only of the fifteen million Loan have been called for, and eleven millions have been responded to—no subscription being at a lees rate than par, and some as high’as ten per eent. premium. The present exigencies of our national crisis call for tha balance of this Loan, and we have no doubt our fellow-citisen* will oheerfully respond to that call. Let it be re membered that, in wbat they thus advance, they are making an investment at 8 per cent, per annum, (which investment ia secured by a special sinking fund,) and that subacriptions may be made in any sum from fifty dollars up wards. We are authorised to say that these subscrip- tions will be received in this 9tate in current bank notes which ere considered at par at the several can tree of trade. An abounding patriotism has carried, and is carrying, our brave brothers end sons in suffi cient nembers to the field; we doubt not that the came fervid feeling will support them there, hy rapidly filling the remainder of this Loon. Battariee are planted atevery available point between Manassas Junction and the Federal linen. The Southerners seem ignorant of tha fact that when Geo. Scott orders an advance, Manassas ean be easily avoided. A letter per tbe Africa, says that large num bers of privateera are fitted out in Europe for the Confederate States' service, and have si raady left. Jim Lane (tbe Border Ruffian) returns to Kansas in a few days. His brigade ie to con sist of five regiments of Infantry, six Compa nies of Cavalry, and six Companies of Artil- lary. Montgomery, (another Kansas Border Ruffi an,) is to command a regiment in the brigade. Lane's proclamation calls Kansas to arms, aod announces tbe intention to aid the minorities in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. St. Louis, Juna 24.—Totten’s command re turned from Syracuse, after pursuing Govern- Jackson eleven milea. McCullough, a broth er of Ben McCullough, is taken prisoner. The State troops are concentrating at Lex ington, simultaneously with General Lyons at Kansas City. It s stated that the Missourians have evac uated Lexington. A fight is reported to have taken place be tween the Unionists, under the command of Col. Cook, and Missourians at Camp Cole.— Twenty-three Unionists were killed, when Cook fled. The Unionists then rallied, and drove off the M isvourians, killing twenty-three. [We caution our readers not to put too much reliance in news from St. Louis. It comes from the meanest of Abolition sources.—Eds. Cor- ranasAor.] Tbe steamer Swan has arrived from Jeffer son cily with F. F. Blair Jr., on board, tn route to Washington. Ho reports 1,000 Fed- ralists at Boonville. A letter from South-east Missouri, says Gen. Watkins is organizing troops in nearly all the eouoties|in that portion of the State to co-operate with the Arkansas forces at Poca hontas. Arms arebeiDg transported up White River. Gravtoh, Va., June 24.—Gen. McClellan and staff have arrived here. He has issued a proc lamation deprecating guerilla warfare. He says all guerillas shall be dealt wub according to the severeet rules of military law. All per sons giving aid or information to tbe Southern- ire to be held in close confinement. All persons being armed, except of known loyally, are to bo arrested for examination. Cikcinsatti, June 24.—The steamer Lebigb has been burned by an incendiary. New York, June 24.—The Bremen has ar rived. The British Government will send ad ditional troops to Canada. The Peris Moniteur declares that Napoleon intends to maintain a strict neutrality. Roscosali takes the place of Count Cavour. A Madrid correspondent, referring lo a dispatch stating that Lincoln had declared Spain would occupy St. Domingo, at her own risk and peril, says : “ The Government of Spain has received no official notice of such declaration; but is prepared to defend the integrity of territory which has been annex ed lo Spain. A bill repealing the paper duty has passed the House of Lords in the British Parliament. Tbe Cotton Supply Association held a meet ing at Manchester, and reports its exertions to procure Cotton discouraging. Many of the Spanish Cotton factories are stopped, throw ing thousands out of employment. Baltimore, June 24.—Semi. Terre has been arrested and held to bail in 22,000 bond, on charge of interrupting the Railroad in April last. Louisville, June 24.—Captain W. J Over- ton, of the Courier office, leaves to night for Nashville, to join the Blackburn Guards, for Virginia. He will act ae §poci* 1 correspond ent of tbe Courkr. Tbe first Southern mail since the 10th inst-, arrived to-day. The Post Master has been in structed to forward letters from the South, to their destination, as unpaid letters. Fortress Morboi, June 24.—The prisoners taken at Bethel have been exchanged. They report good treatment by the Confederate*. It is said that L. W. Clark, of the New York Third Division, on tbe night before tbe Bethel fight, gave the Southerners kill information. Milwackie, Wis., June 24.—A Bank Riot has taken piece. The citizens have demolish ed the Beaks, and the broker*, offices ere in jured. The Montgomery Guards were oalled out, and refused to obey or lira on tbe citisens. Tha Mayor has proclaimed martial law. Wrssliso Va., June 25.—The Convention heeadptedan ordinance to prevent tbe mili tia from leaving the State. (We auppoeethis means to prevent anybody in Western Vir ginia going into the Confederate service.) Tbe Convention will adjourn to-morrow until the first Thursday in August. Karsas City, Mo , June 25—Fifteen hundred troops left to-day for South-Western Miseeuri. Fredrrick, Md,, June 25.—A resolution has passed th* Legislature demanding the Govern or to return the State arms to the State militia. Alrxardria, Va. Juue 25.—Lowe, the bal- loonies, made sn ascension, and discovered the Southerners, also ballooning. [Great Loons ] Cincinnati, June 25 —A. O. Tyler dropped down tbe river yesterday to the Lexington and Conestoga Levee. To day 8,000 troops are at Camp Dennison. Wasbirotor, June 25.—W. D. Gallagher has been appointed Collector of the Port of New Or leans, and departs for Cairo to accompany the grand army down the Mississippi. Circirrati, June 25.—^The Gazette says there •re 5,000 Southerners thirteen miles beyond Phillippa, uniformed and well armed ; a re serve of 3.000 at Hattonsville, and 100 oavalry at Romney. It says Picket skirmishing con tinues, and suspected person are turned over to tbe civil authorities, and guerillas are shot. COMMERCIAL. RIPOSTED DAILY 1 ATLANTA, June 20, 1881. Sales are small. Lard still rules at 13@I4 cents. Stocks of Produce are large and constantly arriving. No fears are entertained of scarcity. The supply is larger than at this time last sea son, and the demand not as full. Brisk business is doing in Military Goods and Furnishings. Leather and Shoe dealers aro also enjoying a good trade.
