The Ladies' A'Um* Hospital Association
has been org.tniEed only about two months,
yet during tais time it has been one of (he
favored ageuis, under Providence, of doing
much for the oomfort and alleviation ofibe
Bufferings of the many thousands of sick and
wounded soldiers sent to this point. Ic has
been with proud and unalloyed satisfaction,
that the members of our Society have been
thus enabled to supply the places of the mo
ther*, wives and sisters of these loved defend
ers of their and our firesides and little ones,
by ministering to them instead of these loved
ones
IVe learn that other soldiers are soon to be
sent hither, to take the places of those who
have been restored to health and returned to
(he post of duly, and we doubt not cf houor,
if not of glory. It will be the pleasing duty
of the members of this Association to be un
ceasing in their attentions to these when they
arrive, aud to anticipate their every want,
until they, too, shall be restored to health.
But while we may rejoice that our position
affords us the high and blessed privilege of
thus serving our country and doing good, we
are compelled to call upon others who do not
enjoy suoh opportunity of bestowing personal
attention to the siok and wouuded soldiers,
to send to us as much as they can spare of
the numerous articles needed to add to the
comfort, nourish and strengthen, as well as
to aid in restoring to health our sick soldiers.*

President Atlanta Hospital Association.
