The Ladles’ Alla ala Hospital Association
has beea organized only about two months,
yet daring this time it baa been one of tho
favored agent*, wader fteovideaoe, of doiug
much for tbe oomfort and alleviation of the
•offerings of the many thousands of sick and
wounded soldiers seat to this point. It has
beea with proud and unalloyed satisfaction,
that tbe members of our Society hare been
ihna enabled to supply tbe plaeee of the mo
thers. wives and staters of iheee loved defend
ers of their aad our fire*id*• and little ones,
by ministering te them instead of these loved

We learn that other soldiers are soon lo be
sent hither, to tab# the plaoes of thoue who
aave been restored to health and returned to
he poet of duty, and we doubt not of honor,
if not of gLry. It will be the pleasing duty
of ihe members of this Association to be u.z-
oeasing in thsir attentions 10 these when tboy
arrive, aud 10 anticipate their every want,
until they, too. shall Be restored to health.
But while We may rejoice that our position
affords ns tho high and blessed privilege of
inus serving our eonntry and doing good, we
are compelled to call npoa others who do not
enjoy suoh opportunity of bestowing personal
aueutioB to the sick and wounded soldiers,
to send to ns as maob a* they can spare of
he numerous artloies needed to add to tbe
oomfort, nourish and strengthen, os well as
te aid in restoring te health our eiok soldiers.*
