WHY WILL YE HIE t
A ND leave unprovided for wife, ehild or
friend, when a trifling sum paid, cither
annually or quarterly, will secure for them a
home and comforts of life. The Georgia Home
Life Insurance Company offers inducements
superior to any life insurance company pre
sented before this community. Insurance may
be had for one year or for life. The life of a
debtor may be assured for the benefit of his
creditors. A man can assure his own life so as
to secure the benefit of the Assurance himself
on attaining a certain age, while if he die be
fore, the sum assured is paid to hia represen
tatives. “I cannot afford it.” Three cents a day
will assure $500to a person twenty-eight years
old, and a younger person need pay still less.
Is not the question, rather, can you, consider
ing your family, afford to die unassured.
jisSF- Policies in Northern Companies can be
transferred to this Company on liberal terms,
and with little trouble.

To the Citizens of Georgia and of J
the other States of the Southern
Confederacy.
T HE HOSPITAL AID SOCIETY OF ST.
PHILIP’S CHURCH, Atlanta, Ga., was
organized soon after the commencement of
aotive hostilities, and has been industriously
but quietly laboring in its patriotic work ever
since. Atlanta having been constituted by
the authorities a principal station for Hospi
tal work, we feel constrained to call upon our
Southern brethren to come to our help. There
are some 3,000 sick soldiers here now, bailing
from every part of the Confederacy, and the
number is likely to be largely increased.
We appeal to our fellow-patriots to send ns
anything they can spare that would be useful
for the sick and suffering. A careful and just
distribution will be made of all that we re-
eeive.
They who prefer to make use of our Society
as the Almoner of their contributions, will
please address their packages to either of the
undersigned.

MRS. E. B. WALKFR, Directress,

patriotic motives, to give the above a few in
