The through Santa Fe mail has arrived
with dates to the 12th inst. Colonel Siough
and General Canby formed a junction at Gal-
estio on the 11th. Major Duncan, -who was
in command of General Canby’s advance
guard, encountered a large party of Hexane,
and routed them. Major Duncan waa slight-
ly wounded The Texans were thirty miles
south of Galeetio, in full flight from the terri
tory. No doubt is entertained of the capture
ot the rebel Sibley’s command, a 5 * they are
entirely destitute of everything.
St. Lotts, May 1.—A morohanl from New
Mexico confirms the abandonment of Santa
Fe by the Rebels, who were ve roating as fast

destitute of munitions of war and provisions,
and with no hope of being supplied from any
