seven per cent, for the last six months, and
a bonus of nine and one eleventh per cent. Those
Stockholders who hold shares, on each of which
fifty-five dollars have been paid, must bring in

in order that the bonus may be endorsed there

Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the room below T
Solomon’s lodge, north of the presbyterian
meeting house. His terms are ten dollars a
quarter for reading, writing and arithmetic ;
.and twelve dollars and fifty cents for grammar,
geography, belles-lettres, mathematics and lan
guages. The -number of pupils is limited to
thirty-six. The morals and manners of his

downcast look, and appears very submissive,
when he talks has generally a drawling tone ttt
his words, but when lively, can speak as spright
ly as any one, he is a good carpenter. He has
taken away .with him sundries of cotton clotli3,
and none of them very coar9e, he bad on when
he went away, a dark brown broadcloth surtout
coat, rather worse for wear, a good pair of strong
shoes a good old hat, a pair of new blankets,
Lolidan dutlils, striped at the ends; he calls
himself when away from hortie. Isaac, and proba
bly he may call himself by some other name ;
lie is a native of South Carolina, his first master’s
name was Hendrix, the second llendender,
living on the fork ot Hroad river, within a few
miles of Columbia, and probably he . has made
for there again. Any person lodging him in any
jail in this state, or within sixty miles of Augusta,
in South-Caroliua, shall receive the above re
