he took said Stirk’s Note, payable the id of
January following (with interest from the date.)
Thatfotne time in on his passage from
St. Catharine’s to Sunbury, in a boat, he loft his
Pocket Book, with many Notes and Papers,
overboard, amongst which papers, was the
identical Note above dated ; which Note has
never been since found or heard of, nor it it
pofliblc it ever fnould, as it was, dropt in the
River or Sound.
