the didance from the Court House in Sa
vannah to the Union Ferry Landing on
ztbe South Carolina fide of the river, and
found it be two miles and an halt. From
the union ferry to my ferry house on the
road leading to Auguda. is twenty miles,
according to Mr. M‘Farland’s ineafiire
ment by a wheel, which he will atted at
any time—and from the aforefaid court
house ill Savannah to'my ferry houfe* is
tweuty-four and three quarters of a mile
and a few chjyns, making a difference of
two miles and three quarters, and few
chains,—and from my ferry house to the
Charledon road is a mile and a quarter,
making in all from Savannah court house
to the Charledon r >ad, 26 miles and a few
chains—and by the way of the union ferry
to the place when my road interlefts, tbe 1
Charlt doif road is twenty-two miles and
three quarters, so that tbe difference is on
ly three miles and a quarter. I further
promise the public, if 1 live, in the co nfe
of next * inter to have the New River
Road surveyed by a sworn surveyor, to
aftertain the didance to Lee’s Creek where
both roads unite, that the difference that
way may also be known.
