estate of Benjamin Taliaferro, late of
said county, deceased; consisting of
3 Tracts of Land,
one containing twelve hundred acres,
more or less, lying on Broad river,
the same whereon the said Taliaferro
died : one containing five hundred
and eighty six acre*, more or less, ly
ing also on Broad river ; and the oth
er containing three hundred and fifty
four acres, more or less, also lying on
Broad river, and purchased by the
said Taliaferro of lsham Watkins.

et book containing some valuable pa
pers and between 50 and 60 dollars
in Bank notes, among which there
were two ten dollar bills of the bank
of South Carolina. Among the pa
pers there were one note dated 15th
Augu t, LS2I - for §2775, drawn by
lames Rossignoh in favour of the sub
tciiber, one third payable on the Ist
day of February, *823 one third on
the Lt day of February, and
one third on the 1 t day of February,
1825, with interest from the Ist day of
February, 1822; and another t oteda
ted l-t February, 1822, for & 335 10
cents, drawn by he same per on in
favour of the subscriber, and payable
in the same way as the above note
There wa>? a so a mortgage given by
the said Rossignol on land, for the
payment of the iw<. notes.
All per ons are forwamed from
trading for the said notes, and Mr.
Rossignol from paying to any other
bur the subscriber.
The finder will give information to

ON the petition of Alfred Well
born, stating that XV ashingtori
Hoff, in his life time, made and de
livered to him Ins bond to make ti
tles to such tracts of laud, as he the
said Huff might draw, (dated 26th
February, 1821) in tbe lottery au
thorised by the act of 1821, and
whereas a copy of the bond is here
with filed, and whereas it appears
that tbe said Hoffdrew two
ol land, one lying and being in the
11th district of Monroe county,
which is the only one in dispute, the
other tract having been arranged
between the parties, and it appear
ing also that said Hoff has departed
this life without making titles to the
said tract, aud that Solomon Ar
nold aud Harriet Huff have obtained
letters of administration of said
Hoff’s estate. On motion, it is or
dered that the said administrators
make tides to the said Wellborn, or
shew cause at the Court of Ordina
ry, to be bolden on the first Monday
iu May next, why they do not, and
it is further ordered, that this rule
be advertised according to law.
