that they are prevented from claiming it, by what?

11 Let tut get up early."—The wise niaft,
among other valuable legacies, has left
at Ibis exhortation. He w»a himself eg
early riser, passionate in his love, and pet
severing In the pursuit of wisdom. In bis
Celebiated song, one of the first petition*
of timid beaqt.v, which the ingenuity, not
less than the ardor of the lover devised,
was that she would rise early. At day
break, and while the shadows of night are
retiring, he impatiently await* the sun
with healing on his beams, to direct hint
to the 'orchard of pomegranates,’ the Wo)I
of living waters and the streams from Le
banon. Solomon could hardly have writ
ten three thousand proverbs end a madri
gal to his love, with such wit, if he had not
by the air and scenery of the morning
corroborated his health and kindled his
fancy.
Whether active ns a king, indolent a.* a
lover, he perceived that early hou-s were
auxiliary both to husiness and pleasure;
and therefore judiciously advises to rise
with the lurk. Let the studious, tho sed
eiitary, the contemplative, heed the exor
istion, and get up early. Forsaking the
feverish dreams of the morning pillow, Id
him shake o(T the enfeebling chains of
Sloth; ‘and go down into the garden;’in
spect ’the fruits of the vallev,’ and ’see
whether the vioe flourish.’ By the rivers
of water let him walk, and expatiate
through the leads, cloisters In tile Temple
