tors—it well selected library—a good apparatus and a ca
binet, prepared witli special reference to the wants of the
college.
The hoarders enjoy peculiar advantages. ‘They have
the privilege of membership in a literary society, meet
ing weekly for rehearsals, reading and exercises in eom
position. One hour on Habbath afternoons is spent by
them in giving an analysis of the morning sermon, and
in other exorrises dos'gm*! to cultivate a taste for reli
gious truth. They also attend monthly levees conducted
by the governess and other member* of tin- faculty.
Their dormitories are all carpeted, well warmed and ven
tilated, and ftirnfHlicd with every needful comfort. Be
sides boarding at tho same table with the Pri sident and
others of tlte Facility, they are tinder the constant siq**r
vision of the governess who directs them in all matters
pertaining to tlieir habits of study and re. i eation, and to
the cultivation of their manners.
