COLUMBUS WEEKLY SUN.
T. W. LANE AND T. DE WOLF,
EDITORS.
HIE DAILY SUN being now established on a basis,
broad enough aud strong enough, to secure its per
manence, we have determined to carry out our long
cherished intention, the establishment of a
WEEKLY iP-ALPZEiR.
THE WilittU bu.\, will be made up from the elioic
’ est matter of our daily; like it, will maintain a strict
neutrality as to party and creed: and like it, will contain
i all the latest and most interesting ncws_received, up to
the hour of going to press.
On the first of September next, we shell have in suc
s cessful operation, liberal
TELEGRAPHIC ARRANGEMENTS,
f which will enable us to lay before our readers the very
latest news, Foreign and Domestic, Commercial, Politi
cal and Miscellaneous. We might enlarge at great
} length, upon our intentions; but preferring performance
to promises, we shall endeavor to have the “ SUN ” make
. its own way exclusively upon such merit ns it may be
found to possess.
Before embarking in this project, which will be an ex
pensive and laborious one, we desire to have some guar
anty of its success. We therefore invite subscriptions
and invoke the aid of our friends; and so soon as
ONE THOUSAND
. reliable names shall be procured, the first number will
‘■■be issued aiiLiromptly mailed. Then, but not till then,
payment wWlie expected of all subscribers.
We shall adhere strictly to the udvance CASH SYS
TEM, not only forour own, but our readers’ good. Eve
ry reader is interested in this system; for it is the only
one by which a journal can he successfully established,
and its interest and usefulness maintained.
The Weekly Sun will be a large and handsome sheet,
printed ou good paper, and containing ilargeramount of
reading matter, adapted both to specific and general
Wants and tastes, than any paper in Western Georgia, or
the State of Alabama. Advertisements will not be al
lowed to encroach upon our reading matter, except to a
very limited extent.
Subscription Price, $2.50 per annum, invariably in ad
vance.
Liberal inducements arc offered to Postmasters and
Agents, who will interest themselves to increase our
circulation —inducements that will enable men of ener
gy to reap real benefit from their efforts in our behalf.
Upon this point full particulars may be obtained by ad
dressing THOMAS DEWOLF.

The Hair.
There is nothing so becoming to either man
or woman as a good head of hair, yet we see
many who. from carelessness or neglect, let
their hair become so dry aud frosty that it is
really not fit to be seen, while, if they would
only procure one bottle of Wood’s Hair Resto
rative and use it, they could have as luxuriant
a crop as any body else.

PROFESSOR WOOD—
Dear Sir—l take pleasure iu healing voluntary to.,
tirnouy to the excellence of your Hair Restorative. 1 lireu
mouths ago my hair was very gray. It is now a dark
brown, (the original color,) smooth and glossy. The only
application 1 have made to it, has been the Hair Resto
rative prepared by you, aud which, from the result 111
my own case, 1 can most cordially recommend to otliei t
Respectfully, yours, EDW. WOLCOTT.

PROF. O. J. UKOD
AK you arc about to manufacture and vend your 1
cently discovered Hair Restorative, 1 will state, for
whomsoever it nmy concent, that I liavo used it, and
known others to use it—tliat 1 have, for several years,
been in tile habit of using ether llair Restoratives, and
that 1 find yours vastly superior to any other 1 knov.
It entirely cleanses the head of dandruff’, and with one
month’s proper use, will restore any person’s hair to tlia
original youthful color and texture, giving it a healthy,
soft and glossy appearance; and all this, without discol
oring tin- hands tliat apply it, or the dresa on which it
drops. I would, therefore, recommend its use to every
one desirous of liavinga lino color and texture of hair. ,
Respectfully, yours. W ILSON KING A,
St. Loms, June 29,1803.
PROF. W GOD—
As you are about to pnp.au and vend your recently
discovered Hair Restorative, und as you request my opin
iou of it. 1 will state, tliat my hair was, a lew uiontiis
ago, very gray, und after using two bottles of your lloi.
Restorative, it resumed its original color: and since its
application, all dandruff has disappeared from my head,
and 1 have been troubled with no disagreeable itching oi
the sculp. lam satisfied tliat tliose who use it will m.a
regret it, us it givcH the hair the appearance of having
been recently oiled. Jam prepared, therefore, to rccou.
mend its use to all who are desirous of having a beautiflii
head of linir. 1 11111, sir, yours, etc.

PROF. WOOD
Dear Sir—My linir had. for several years, been I>. -
coming prematurely gray, accompanied by a harshness
which tendered the constant application of oil necessni y
in dressing it. When 1 commenced using your Hair Res
torative, about two months ago, it w'us in tliat condition .
mid having continued its use till within the last tlu co
weeks, it lias turned to its natural color, und assumed
softness and lustre greatly to be preferred to those pi o
duced by the application of oils or any other preparation
I have ever used. 1 regard it as an indispensable article
for every lady’s toilet, whether to be used as a Hall Ri f*
torntive, or for the simple purpose of dressing or beauti
tying the hair. You have permission to refer to me uli
wlio entertain any doubt of its performing all Hint is
claimed for it. MRS. (’. SYMONDS.

PROF. O. J. WOOD—
Allow me to attest the virtues and magic pnweis or
youi linir Restorative. Three months since, being ex
ceedingly gray, 1 purchased, and Roon commenced to use
two bottles; and it soon began to tell, in restoring tho
silver locks to tlu ir native color, and the hair, which whs
before dry and harsh and falling off. now became soli
and and it reused falling; the dandruff clisap
peared, and the scalp lost all the disagreeable itcliin*_•
so annoying before, and now. I not only look, but 1(1
young again. Respectfully, yours, etc.
