WEEKLY SUN.
T. W. LANE AND T. DE WOLF,
EDITORS.
TIIE DAILY SUN being now established on a basis,
broad enough and strong enough, to secure its per
manence, we have determined to carry out our long
cherished intention, the establishment oi'a
WEEKLY PAPER.
THE WEEKLY SUN, will be made up from the choic
est matter of our daily; like it, will maintain a strict
neutrality as to party and creed: and like it, will contain
all the lutest and most interesting news, received, up to
the hour of going to press.
On the first of September next, we shall have in sue- |
cesstul operation, liberal
TELEGRAPHIC ARRANGEMENTS,
which will enable us to lay before our readers the very
latest news, Foreign and Domestic, Commercial, Politi
cal and Miscellaneous, Wo might enlarge at great .
length, upon our intentions; but preferring performunec
to promises, we shall endeavor to have the “ SUN ” make
its own way exclusively upon such merit as it may be
found to possess.
Before embarking in this project, which will beau ex
pensive and laborious one, we desire to have some guar
anty of its success. We therefore invite subscriptions
and invoke the aid of our friends ; and so soon as
ONE THOUSAND
reliable names shall be procured, the first number will
be issued and promptly mailed. Then, but not till then, j
payment will be expected of all subscribers.
We shall adhere strictly to the advance CASH SYS
TEM, not only for our own, but our readers’ good. Eve
ry reader is interested in this system; for it is the only
one by which a journal can be successfully established,
and its interest and usefulness maintained.
The Weekly Sun will be a large and handsome sheet,
printed on good paper, aud containing a larger amount of
reading matter, adapted both to specific and general
wants and tastes, than any paper in Western Georgia, or
the State of Alabama. Advertisements will not be al
lowed to encroach upon our reading matter, except to a
very limited extent.
Subscription Price, $2.50 per annum, invariably iu ad
vance.
Liberal inducements are offered to Postmasters and
Agents, who will interest themselves to increase onr
circulation —inducements that will enable men of ener
gy to reap real benefit from their efforts in our behalf
Upon this point full particulars may be obtained by ad
dressing THOMAS DEWOLF.

If you chouse, you may send six dozen bottles Hair Res

In this place. 1 sold a man six $1 bottles, that was bald,

PROFESSOR WOOD—
Dear Sir—l take pleasure ill bearing voluntary tes
tiinouy to the excellence of your liuir Restorative. ‘] liri e
months ago my hair was very gray. It is now a dark
brew'u, (the original color,) smooth and glossy. The only
application 1 have made to it, has been the Hair Resto
rative prepared by you, and which, from the result ii.
my own case, 1 can most cordially recommend toothers.
Respectfully, yours, KDW'. WOLCOTT
Yincenxks, lit.. Julie 21, 1863.
PROF. O. J. WOOD—
As you are about to manufacture and vend your u
cently discovered liuir Restorative, . will state, fol
whomsoever it may concern, that l have used it, and
known others to use it—that i have, for several years,
been iu the habit of using ether llair Restoratives, and
that 1 find yours vastly superior to any other I know
It entirely cleanses tlic head of dandruff, and with oue
mouth's proper use. will restore any person's hair to the
original youthful color and texture, giving it a healthy,
soft and glossy appearance ) and all this, without discol
oring the hands that apply it, or the dress on which it
drops. 1 would, therefore, recommend its use to every
one desirous of haviuga line color and texture of lmii.
Respectfully, yours, WILSON KING.
St. Louis. June 29.1853.
PROF. W OOD—
As you are about to prepare and vend your leceutly
discovered liuir Restorative, and us you request my opin
ion of it, 1 w ill state, that my hair was, a few mouths
ago, very gray, and after using two bottles of your llair
Restorative, it resumed its original color; and since its
application, all dandruff has disappeared from my head,
and 1 have been troubled with no disagreeable itching oi
the scalp. lam satisfied that those who use it will not
regret it, us it gives the hair the appearance of having
been recently oiled. lam prepared, therefore, to recom
mend its use t.i all who nre desirous of having a beautiful
head of liuir. I am. sir, yours, etc.
11. L. STEWART.
PROF. WOOD—
Dear Sir—My hair had, for several years, been be
coming prematurely gray, accompanied by a liars lints-,
which tendered the constant application of oil necessary
in dressing it. W hen I commenced using your llair Res
torative. about two mouths ago. it was in that condition ;
and having continued its use till w ithin the last three
weeks, it lias turned to its natural color, and assumed a
softness and lustre greatly to lie preferred to those pro
duced by the application of oils or any other preparation
I have ever used. I regard it as an indispensable article
for every lady’s toilet, whether to be used as a llair l.es
torntive, or tor the simple purpose of dressing or heauti
lying the hail'. You have permission to refer to me all
who entertain liny doubt of its performing all ■ lint is
claimed for it. MBS. C. SYMONDS.

PROF. O. J. WOOD—
Allow me to attest the virtues and magic powers oi
youi llair Restorative. Three months since, being ex
ceedingly gray, 1 purchased, and soon commenced to use,
two bottles; and it soon began to tell, in restoring the
silver locks to tlieir native color, and the hair, which was
before dry and harsh and falling oil', now became soft
and and it ceased falling; the dandruff disap
peared, and the scalp lost nil the disagreeable itching,
so annoying before, and now, I not only look, but feel
young again. Respectfully, yours, etc.
