COLUMBUS WEEKLY SUN.
I T W- LANE AND T. DE WOLF,
EDITORS.
JLjjjj DAIRY SUN being now established on a basis,
Aad enough and strong enough, to secure its per
manence, we have determined to carry out our long
cherished intention, the establishment of a
WEEKLY PAFEH.
THE WEE KEY SUN, will be made up from the choic
est matter of our daily; like it, will maintain a strict
neutrality as to party and creed; and like it, will contain
all the latest and most interesting news received, up to
til hour of going to press.
■ u tllo first of September next, we shall have in sue
csisful operation, liberal
telegraphic arrangements,
w|n:h will enable us to lay before our readers the very
[ale t news, Foreign and Domestic, Commercial, Politi
cal and Miscellaneous. Wo might enlarge at great
lelgth, upon our intentions; but preferring performance
totromises, we shall endeavor to have the ‘-SUN” make
its own way exclusively upon such merit as it may be
tottml to possess.
Before embarking in this project, which will bo an ex
pan ive and laborious oue, we desire to have some giiur
unt’ of its success. We therefore iuvite subscriptions
anti invoke the aid of our friends; and so soon as
ONE ‘TEiOXJSA.IsrXJ
relable names shall be procured, the first number will
bebsued and promptly mailed. Then, but not till then,
payment will be expected of all subscribers,
me shall adhere strictly to the advance CASH SYS
TS-'U not only forour own, but our readers’ good. Evo
ryffcader is interested in this system; for it is the only
orfe by which a journal can be successfully established,
and its interest and usefulness maintained.
She Weekly Sun will be a large and handsome sheet,
piloted on good paper,and containingalargcramountof
reeding matter, adapted both to specific and general
Suts and tastes, than any paper in Western Georgia, or
the State of Alabama. Advertisements will not be al
io veil to encroach upon our reading matter, except to a
v( ty limited extent.
■ Subscription Price, $2.50 per annum, invariably in ad
vi nee.
I Liberal inducements are offered to Postmasters and
A ;ents, who will interest, themselves lo increase our
ci cuhition —inducements that will enable men of ener
gy to reap real benefit from their efforts in our behalf
Wien this point full particulars may bo obtained by ad
<< suing THOMAS DEWOLF.
The Hair.
■ln to-dny’s paper will be found an advertise
ment of Prof. 0. J. Wood’s renowned Hair lie
■orative. The statements contained in the
letters of those who have used it, are wonder
ful but no less wonderful than true. This
Sfestorative has not been long before the pub
lit, but it has already achieved a world wide
reputation, and thousands daily thank the dis
coverer. Read the advertisement, and go
straightway and supply yourself.—Glasgow

It Has Worked Miracles.
rpiIAT ALL THE BALD AND GRAY can be restored
X perfectly to original growth, so far as their locks are
concerned, does not admit of doubt; besides, it will cure
every possible disease of the scalp, whether developed as
dandruff, itching, or in the shape of cutaneous erup
tions—even scald-head—and in no possible case will it
fail of curing, as if by magic, nervous or periodical head
ache, aud if used twico a week by the young, regularly,
it will preserve the color, and keep the hair from falling,
to any imaginable age. Read and judge.

If you choose, you may semi six dozen bottles Hair Res
torative; 1 think I can sell it. It has worked miracles
in this place. I sold a man six $1 bottles, that was bald,
and it fetched new lmir out all ovor his head.
Yours, respectfully, M. 11. GRIDLEY
C. R. R. Office, Y’andauia, June 21,1854.
PROFESSOR YVOOD—
Dear Sir—l take pleasure in bearing voluntary tes
timony to the excellence of your Hair Restorative. Three
months ago my hair was very gray. It is now a dark
brown,(the originul color,)smooth and glossy. The only
application I have made to It, has been tin* Ilair Resto
rative prepared by you, and which, from the result in
my own case, 1 can most cordially recommend to others.
Respectftilly, yours, EDYV. YY’OLCOTT.
Y incennes, la.. June 21, 1853.
PROF. 0. J. YVOOD—
As you are about to manufacture and vend your re
cently discovered Hair Restorative, 1 will state, for
whomsoever it may concern, that I have used it. and
known others to use it—that 1 have, for several years,
been in the habit of using ether lluir Restoratives, aud
that 1 find yours vastly superior lo any other I know
It entirely cleanses the head of dandruff, aud with one
month’s proper use, w ill restore any person’s hair to the
original youthful color and texture, giving it a healthy,
soft ami glossy appearance; and all tliis, without discol
oring tlie hands that apply it, ortho dress on which it
drops. I would, therefore, recommend its use to every
one desirous of having a fine color and texture of liair.
Respectfully, yours, YYILSON KING.
St. Louis, June 29.1863.
PROF. YVOOD—
As you are about to prepare and vend your recently
discovered flair Restorative, and ns you request my opin
ion of it, I will state, tliat my hair was, a lew months
ago, very gray, aud after using two bottles of your Hail
Restorative, it resumed its originul color; and since its
application, ull dandruff has disappeared from my head,
and 1 have been troubled with no disagreeable itching oi
the scalp, i uni satisfied that those who use. it will not
regret it, as it gives tlie hair tlie appearance of having
been recently oiled. lam prepared, therefore, to recom
mend its use to all who ure desirous of having a beautiful
head of hair. 1 am, sir, yours, etc.
11. L. STKYYAKT.
PROF. YVOOD—
Dear Sir —My liair bad, for several years, been be
coming pro maturely gray, accompanied by a harshness
which rendered tlie constant application of oil necessary
in dressing it. When 1 commenced using your Hair Res
torative, about two months ago. u was in that condition ;
and having continued its use till within the last three
weeks, it Ims turned to its liutun.l color, and assumed a
softness aud lustre greatly to be preferred to those pro
duced by tlie application of oils or tmy oilier preparation
1 have ever used. 1 regard it as an indispensable article
lbr every lady’s toilet, w hetlier to be used as a Hair Res
torative, or tor tin- simple purpose of dressing or beuuti
lying the liair. You have permission to refer to me all
who entertain any doubt of its performing all that is
claimed for it. MR.S. C. SYMONDB,
Cincinnati, Ohio, Feb. 19,1854. 144 Third st.
YVatkiitown, Mass., May 1, 1864.
PROF. O. J. YVOOD—
Allow me to attest the virtues and magic powers of
youi liair Restorative. Three months since, being ex
ceedingly gray, l purclinsed, and soon commenced to use,
two bottles; and it soon began to tell, in restoring tlie
silver locks to their native color, and tlie hair, which was
before dry aud harsh and falling off, now became soft
and and it censed falling; flic dandruff disap
peared, anil the scalp lost all the disagreeable itching,,
so annoying before, and now, 1 not only look, but feel
young again. Respectfully, yours, etc.
