There is nothing so becoming to either man or woman as a good head of hair, yet we see lnfthV who, from carelessness or neglect, let their hair become so dry and frosty that it is really not fit to be seen, while, if they would only procure one bottle of Wood’s Hair Res torative and use it, they could have as luxu riant a crop as any body else. OBITUARY. Died, near this city, on the 16th inst., Mrs. CA’iursiNA Er ixcisca BI'RBUS, in the 67th year of her age. She was a native of Marlheint department,, bower Rhine, France. The deceased possessed many qualities which recom mended her not only to her own friends, hut to a large number of acquaintances. It was particularly in the family circle that site distinguished herself for ini'un bounded affection and assiduous watchfulness towards lu-r children —always inculcating sentiments of piety with those of industry; and though for the last few rears she suffered much from a painful disease, yet to the moment of her deatli sin; bore all as coming from the Creator; knowing “that through many tribulations we must enter into the Kingdom of God.” —Acts, ch. 14, v. 21. PROFESSOR WOOD’S HAIR RESTORATIVE. WE CALL THE ATTENTION OF ALL, OLD AND YOLNU, to the wonderful preparation which turns back to its original color gray Lair—covers the head of the bald with a luxuriant growth—removes the dandruff’, itching and all cutaneous eruptions—causes a continual flow of the natural fluids; and hence, if used as a regular dressing for the hair, will preserve its color, and keep it from falling to extreme old age, in all its natural beauty. We cad, than, upon the bald, the gray, or diseased; in Hcalp, to use it; and surely, the youug will not, as they value the flowing locks, or the witching cur!, ever be without it. its praise is upon the tongue of thousands. Watrrford, Mass., July 25, 1855. PROF. O. J. WOOD—\\ till confidence, do 1 recom mend your Hair Restorative, as being the most effica cious arti -le 1 ever saw. 1 have used tho Walphenu and other preparations of tho duy. all without effect. Since usiug your llair Restorative, my hair and whiskers, which were almost white, have gradually grown dark ; and l now feel confident, that a lew more applications will restore them to their natural color. SIR—In consequence of having hair, tor several years past, mit only gray, but perfectly white, 1 have cut it short, and worn caps to hide it from view; but some three months since, I was induced to use your Hair Re storative, and 1 must, in justice say. that itß effects were almost miraculous; for it Ims changed it gradually to at most its former splendor us to color, xml left it so soft and glossy ns to be more beautiful than it ever was, when under tho influence of fine oil. I earnestly, there fore, recommend it to every lady ns decidedly the best preparation for toilet use, of anything in the world. BETSY SMITH. PROF. WOOD—Having experienced the magic effect of your Hair Restorative, I drop you this upon the sub ject. About two years ago, my hair commenced tailing oft’ und turning gray; I was last becoming bald. 1 met a friend who had used your Restorative, and spoke so highly of its virtues, I was induced to try it. although I had tint little faith, ns I hail before tried so many other me dicines. 1 commenced using your Restorative in Jan uary last. A few applications fastened my hair firmly, it began to fill up, grow out, and turned back to its former color, (Idaek.) At rids time, it is fully restored to i;s original color, bualih and appearance, and 1 cheer ful!}’ recommend its use to all. J. D. HOES. Chicago, ill., May 1, 1854. As fui back as 1836, my hair commenced falling off, until the top of my scalp became bald uud as smooth as glass, and it lias continued to fall for a great many years, notwi'hstuuding X have used many celebrated preparations for its restoration. Seeing your advertisement. 1 was induced to give your article atrial, aud, to my utter astonishment, I found utter a few applications, that my hair became firmly set, and assumed a glossy and beautiful appearance; and by tho time I had used a quart bottle, my bald head was covered w ith a young and vigoro..* growth of hair, which is now from one to two iuchee i.. length, und growing fast. Yours, truly, .urixKY GOUDIUCII. Xt to lark, October 2, 1854. PROF. O. J.
