If any body desire 1 further evidences, they will find it in every bottle of the CURE, which is being int ro duced as rapidly as possible In u every town and village in the United States, Canadas, kr. ‘l'htt eminent chem ist, Dr. J. R.Chilton, of New York, certifies to its per fect Innocence. It is therefore optional w ith all to have tiie Fever and Agueor not, just us they please. Since the introduction of the CURE in every part of tho United States, its success has been so complete aud unvarying as to luive fully proved these assert ions in favor of its extraordinary merit. No class of disease is so easily managed as tho one under consideration, if the medicine lie taken in advance. This is owing to tho diseases being produced by one an I the same cause, and therefore all, both residents and travelers, should protect themselves by the timely use of this preventive, and not wait for the puis, n already lurking in their veins, to develop itself in a violent attack. Take the Cure as a preventive, and so destroy the poison before it does harm. Full directions and advice as to diet anil habits of life prepared by a distinguished Physician long resident in a ltilinus climate now accompany each bottle. It will often bo found iioct-.s-.-try to precede tilts nu ll cine by a mild cathartic or antibilious purgative. I’ve come tin mile out of me way to do it.” “Yuu are very welcome,” replied Mr. Polk, and went on finishing his dinner. “ What news did you bring from Ireland?” “Well, yere honor, the latest news l know of was a cow that had five calves.” “Why that’s very strange, my friend, a cow having on ly four teats. llow did the fifth calf make out?” “The Lord love yer honor, it done as I’m doing now.” “How’s that?” “Standing here looking on, while the cither four of yees is feasting yer selves.” ‘‘Sit down, .Pat, you shall have some dinner.” Os course Pat sat down and eat a hearty dinner, in the course of which he drank two glasses of wine. “Now, Lord love yer honor, when I return to ould Ireland, I can toll the people there that i ate dinner and drank three glasses of wine with one of the greatest men in the United States.” “ Plow can you say that, when you have drank but two ?” “ Vis, yer honor, 1 know that, but i know you will not let me go home with a lie in my mouth.” Os course Pat drank the other glass of wine and then left, shower ing his blessings on Mr. Polk till outside the door. —— G - “ ■- Pedestrian Itnce. The Boston Times of Saturday says : Quite a crowd gathered at the Lynn trot ting Park, Boston, yesterday, to witness the pedestrian races. The first race of five miles, for which several entered, was won by Patrick Whelden, in twenty-eight minutes and thirty-eight seconds. The next raee, in which the renowned Urin nell was to run twenty miles in two hours, was not accomplished.
