PROOFS 1 See wlmt the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Missouri, says of Rhodes’ Fovei and Ague Cure, or An tidote to Malaria: St. Louis. Mo., Nov. 10, 1855. HAVING noticed the certificate of chemical analysis given by the celebrated chemist Dr. J. R. Chilton, of New York city, in saver u!’ Rhodes* Fever and Ague Cure, that it contained neither Quinine, Arsenic, Mur curp nor Strychnine, and having received numerous ap plications for it, 1 was induced to send to Dr. Rhodes for the medicine. .Since then I have disposed of, a large quantity, mostly to residents of this city, who have inva riably been cured by it, aim to whom 1 can refer. I am, therefore, satisfied in recommending it lo he all that the proprietor represents. EDWARD S. WHEATON, l’rusd t of PliarmaceuUcal Society of Missouri. 70 Bottles Perform 7 0 Cures. Constantine, Mich., Sept. 24th, 1855. James A. lluouks, Esq.—Dear Sir:—l have just sent an order to Ames & Ualliday for another hall gloss of your Feveraud Ague Cure. It has sold like “ HotCalccs,” and I have only two bottles on hand. One reason it has sold, is because when I have heard of a case of Ague or Cliiil Fever, 1 have sent a bottle and telil them to try it, aud if it did not help them, they were nut obliged to pay for it, and they were all satisfied. I bad one ease of Chill Fever where it run four days, but the man came to see me on the sixth day well satisfied. Truly yours, JOHN I*. GLADDING. Hail tlie Ague for ‘Twelve Years ! Providence, June 29. 1855. Having been informed of the illness of a poor, but worthy woman, who lias not been fre e from Fever aud Ague a month at a time lor the last twelve years, 1 sup plied her gratuitously with Rhodes’ Fever and Ague Cure. Bln, took ill all four bottles which completely re stored her to health and strength, aud as four months have now elapsed, there is no reason to doubt the perma nency of the cure. C. A. P. MASOF, Apothecary. 24 Bottles Perform 24 Cures. Moline, 111., Sept. 24, 1865. Mr. James A. Rhodes —Dear Sir—The box of “Ague Cure” you seut us has all been sold and created a large demand for more; to meet which we have ordered from your general agent at Chicago, J. D. Yerriugton. Its sale will only he equalled by tlie number of Fever and Ague cases. Hoping these cases uiay be few, yet have a bottle for every case. We remain respectfully yours, RICHARDS & ALLEN. Louisville No. 11, C. It. It., Ga., Jan. 1, 1856. Your Ague Cure has overcome all prejudices by its merits, aud given satisfaction. A gentleman just called who has been fully cured by only one bottle, and de sired me to recommend it to everybody. 1 shall do all I can in its sale. W. A. HAYLES. Only Caution.—ln certain specified cases, pour the contents of one or more bottles of the Cure into shallow vessels, (dining plates,) and place them in sleeping rooms; for the vapor rising from the medicine, and also the air wafted across, or circulated over the dregs of it, after the liquid is evaporated, will counteract aud destroy, to a degi ee commensurate with its expo sure, the miasmata or poison contained in the apartment. This mode of exhibiting the Cure should likewise he resorted to when very young infants are exposed to malarious situations. The bottles in which this medicine is put up have the words, “Rhodes’ F’ever and Aoue Cure” blown in the glass, and on the outside wrapper is the name of the medicine, (the copyright of which is secured) and tiie signature of the proprietor. These precautions are taken to prevent counterfeits and imitations. The reliance roit its success is entirely ui*on its ACTUAL merits, wherever introduced and used. These will he considered sufficient. Prepared and sold by the proprieior, JAMES A. RHODES, Providence, R. I, For sale in Columbus by KIVLIN, THOMAS & CO., February lo 1856. ly m Drnggists. A. K. The progress ot the War iu the East occu pies a large space in their pages. Every movement is closely criticised, whether of friend or of foe, and all short-comings fearlessly pointed out.
