UNPARALLELED SUCCESS OF
RHODES’ FEVER ASi D AGUE CURE,
Oil
ANTIDOTE TO MALARIA:
Equally certain as u Preventive or Cure.
AO POISON. PROOFS !
Seo what the President of the Pharmaceutical Society
of Missouri, says of Rhodes’ Fevei ami Ague Cure, or An
tidote to Malaria:
St. Louis, Ale., Nov. ld, 1865.
HAVING noticed the certificate of chemical analysis
given by the celebiated chemist Dr. J. it. Chilton,
ot New York city, In favor of Rhodes* Fever and Ague
Cure, that it contained neither Quinine. Arsenic, Mer
curp nor Strychnine, and having received numerous ap
plications for it, I was induced to send to Dr. .Rhodes
for tlie medicine. Since then 1 have disposed of a largo
quantity, mostly to residents of this city, who havo iuva
riably been cured by it, uud to whom J ran refer. 1 am,
therefore, satisfied in recommending it to be all that
the proprietor represents.
EDWARD 8. WIIEATON,
Presd’t of PlutruiaceuUoal Society of Missouri.
70 Bottles Perform 70 Cures.
Constantink, -Uich., Sept. 24th, 1855.
Jamks A. Rhodes, Esq.—Dear Sir:—l have just sent
un order to Ames A ILilliduy for another half gross of
youi 4 ever and Ague Cure. It lias sold like” Uot Cakes,”
and I have only two bottles on baud. One reason it
has sold, is because when I have heard of a case of Ague
or Cliili Fever, I have sent a bottle and teld them to try
it, and if it did uot help them, they were not, obliged to
pay for it, and they were all satisfied. 1 had one ease
of Chill Fever where it run four days, but the imiu came
to see me ou tlie sixtli day well satisfied.
Truly yours, JOHN P. GLADDING.
Had the Ague for Twelve Years!
Providence, .June 2d. 1865.
Having been informed of the illness of a poor, but
worthy woman, who lias not been fre e from Fever and
Ague a month at a time for the last twelve years, 1 sup
plied her gratuitously with Rhodes’ Fever and Ague
Cure. Slio took in all four bottles which completely re
stored her to health and strength, and as four mouths
have now elapsed, there is no reason to doubt the perma
nency of tlie cure.
C. A. P. SIASOF, Apothecary.
54-f: Bottles Perform 21 Cures.
Moline, 111., Sept. 24. 1855.
>lb. James A. Rhodes— Dear Sir — The box of “Ague
Cure"’ you sent as has all been sold and created a largo
demand for more; to meet which we have Ordered
from your general agent at Chicago, J. D. Yerrington.
its sale will only be equalled by the number of Fever
and Ague cases. Hoping these cases may be few, yet
have a bottle for every case.
We remain respectfully yours,
RICHARDS & ALLEN.
Louisville No. 11, C. R. it., Ga., Jan. 1, 1856.
Your Ague Cure lias overcome all prejudices by its
uicrits, and given satisfaction. A gentleman just called
who has been fully cured by only one bottle, and de
sired me to recommend it to everybody. I shall do all I
can in its sale. IV. A. HAY LES.
Duly Caution.—ln certain specified cases, pour
tlie contents of one or more bottles of the Cure into
shallow’ vessels, (dining plates,: and place them in
sleeping rooms; for the vapor rising from tlie medicine,
and also tlie air walled across, or circulated over tlie
dregsofit, alter the liquid is evaporated, will counteract
aud destroy, to a degiee commensurate w ith its expo
sure, the miasmata or poison contained in tiie apartment.
This mode of exhibiting the Cure should likewise be
resorted to when very young infants are exposed to
malarious situations.
The bottles in which this medicine is put up have tlie
words, ‘‘Rhodes’ Fever and Ague Cuke” blown in the
glass, and on tlie outside w rapper is tlie name of tlie
medicine, (the copyright of which is secured) and tlie
signature of the proprietor. These precautions are
taken to prevent counterfeits and imitations.
The reliance for its success is entirely upon its
actual merits, wherever introduced and used. These
will be considered sufficient.

lowing leading British Periodicals, viz:
THE LONDON QUARTERLY (Conservative).
THE EDINGBURGH REVIEW (Whig).
THE NORTH BRITISH REVIEW (Free Church).
THE WESTMINSTER REVIEW (Liberal).
BLACKWOOD’S EDINBURGH MAGAZINE (Tory).
fpilK great and important events—Religious, Political,
JL aud Militury—now agitating the nations of the Old
World, give to these Publications an interest and value
they never before possessed. They occupy a middle
ground between the hastily written news items, crude
speculations, and Hying rumors of the newspaper, and
the ponderous Tome of the historian, written long after
tlie living interest in the facts he records shall have
passed away, Tho progress of the War in the East occu
pies a large space in their pages. Every movement ii
closely criticised, whether ot friend or of foe, and all
short-comings fearlessly pointed out. The letters from
the Crimea and from the Baltic ill Blackwood’sMagazmc,
from two of Its most popular contributors, give a more
intelligible and reliable account of the movements of the
great belligerents that cun elsewhere bo found.
These Periodicals nbly represent tbe three great politi ■
cal parties of Great Britain—\\ big, Tory, and Kndical, —
but polities forms only oue feature of their character.—
As Organs of the most profound writers on Science, Lite
rature, Morality, and Itellgion, they Ntuud. as they over
hate stood, unrivalled in the world of letters, being con
sidered indispensable to Ihc scholar and tlie professional
mini, while to tho intelligent vender of every class they
furnish a more correct and satisfactory record of the cur
rent literature of the day, throughout the world, than
can be possibly obtained from any other source.
