~GREAT ATTRACTION

begs to inform the respocted in- /Clj jK
habitants of Columbus and its J U&L

for the future the sale of
Watches, and intends to give his whole attention
to KKPAIKS ONLY. Watches are such delicate
machines that if in fixing them the mind is at all
abstracted from tho object in view it is very un
certain about them being p oj orly done, and if
you employ a workman to do them for you it i
still as uncertain —for where you get one done
properly and to your k&tiufacticn you are likely
to find three not fit to put into b customer’s
pocket; and Mr. 8. does not hesitate to say there
is no one so likely to do them justico as the
master that knows his trade, aud whose whole
and sole interest is absorbed in them.
Mr. 8. ban u good stock of well-selected Watches

reduction, providing too much time i not taken
up tho sale, ether wise they willho sent to publio j
auction. The unprecedented succchb of his pre- |

CHEROKEE REMEDY!
Cures from
AN UNFAILING CURE FOR
Gonorrhoea and all Diseases of the
Urinary Organs.
rjIHIS REMEDY cures when all other prejjar*-
j_ tiona fail. It ia entirely unlike every other
compound; containing no minertfl poiuon or nau
seous drug, as it is prepared solely from Roots,
Barks and Leaves, und has been handed down,
from one generation to another, by the Cherokee
Indians. It is offered to the public on its own In
trinsic merits. It performs its duty quickly and
thoroughly. The unfortunate of oither sex will
be repaid by using this Remedy, instead of placing
themselves at the mercy of some Qnack or Pro
fessor. This Remedy strikes at the very root of
the diooase; its tendency is not simply to suspend
the poison, but to remove the cause on which it
depends. Fall directions in pamphlet form ac
company each bottle. The speedy and permanent
relief afforded by this Remedy, in all cases of
GouorrUoea, Gleet, Gravel, Stricture,
Fluor Albui (Whites in Females), and all dis
eases of the Urinary Organs, has astonished the
most scientific oten of the age. This Remedy not
only eradicates all poison from the system, but
invigorates the most delicate constitution.
It does not affect the breath or interfere with
any clnss of business, or require any deviation
from the utual diet.
It requlree no assistance from other medicine.
And what enhances its value is the entire ab
sence of all nauseous taste, boing a ploaeant aud
delicious syrup.

that a miner accidentally fell into a shaft
thirty-five feet deep and broke two ol'kia
ribs. This was not the worst of it, how
ever, for ou arriving so suddenly at the
bottom he found he had more than enough
company for his entertainment. The
other occupant was a large California
skunk, and together they remained for
thirty hours. Not content with nearly
killing Mr. Atzel in its peculiar way,
the sweet scented creature bit and gnawed
him severely, he being too much injured
to protect himself. He fought the skunk
and “hollowed” for thirty hours, and was
finally rescued in a much exhausted and
fragrant condition.

Aline. Patteraou’* Caution.
An inoident in connection with the
Bonaparte-l’atterson trial has excited
some remarks in Paris. Mmo. Patterson,
in coming to France, did not bring witii
her all the papers whioh sustained her
case, for fear they might be stolen.—
Some she left behind ; while those she
brought she had sewed into garments
which never quitted her person. This
indirect imputation upon the honor of
her opponent* and the French poliee, ex
cited a sentiment of indignation which
baa found expression in various ways
Even her lawyer, M. Berryer, spoke of
the apprehensions of his client as illusory
and ill founded, while the defence made
use of the faot to throw doubt upon the
authenticity of the certified duplicates
presented to the court.
