Considerable excitement is maintained
around the supper table, owing to the presence
there of A large silver trunipet, which is being

Dan Castello's Circus.—The . advent of
Dan Castello's great Circus Troupe and Abys
sinian Caravan, which is extensively adver
tised, through the daily papers and by mag
nificent posters, to take place on Monday,
November 23d, suggests some thoughts. If
success is the mark of genius, Dan Cnstellg
is certainly a genius' of .a. high order, rising
head and shoulders above all competitors,'in
fact the Show (riant of the age. This results
from the strictness with which every pledge
to the 16vers’of amusement is faithfully kept.
None ever go away disappointed, but cheer
fully endorse fhe fact fhat his show was all
and more than what was promised—hence
those who have seen go again to see, and they
who have never seen, hasten to see. His
coming is a signal' for a general rush. Rich
and poor—old and young—white and black—
