That from and after the passing of this ordi nance, any person or persons duly convicted of firing a gun or pistol withirt the precincts ofthe city, except'on public occasions, shall be fined in a sum not less than five dollars, nor exceeding twenty dollars, one half of which fine to go to the informer, the otliee half to go to the use of the city.
