“ SEWING MACHINE.
Patented August 12th, ISSI.
r SE ?T,!-nH Which render this machine a perfect mstru-
Improwmen -, h rH 13thj js,y2 To this invention, be
fore the P pr.ri improvements were applied, the first premi
ums were awarded at the last New York State fair and Fair
of the American institute. As now improved, these ma
chines are infinitely ahead of competition, and the inven
tion is unquestionably the most valuable one now before
the public, not excepting the Planing Machine, Colt’s Pis
tols, or any other. All kinds of Sewing, on either cloth or
leather, done by these machines in most beautiful style, so
it cannot rip or ravel, and with immense saving of labor.
The great shoe manufacturers at Lynn, and other places,
use these machines. The xtensive saddlery establishment -
of Newark, N. J., and Bridgeport, Ct., use them; and tht
manufacturers of clothing and working tailors in man;
parts of the country have introduced and are employing
them with p rfect success. No Sewing Machine previous ti
this was of any practical value, or stood the test of actual
use; and no machine for stitching can ever be made that
will be usefui, without infringing on I. M. Singer's Pat nts
The public are cautioned not to buy other machines con
taining 1. M. Singer’s Improvements, as all infringers wih
be promptly and vigorously prosecuted. Price of Machines,
with all apparatus completefor immediate use, including the
right to use under the patents, $1 '25. Orders sent by mail,
or through either of the express lines, immediately execu
ted. Country merchants coming to New York always fur
nish a convenient medium for tire purchase of Machines.
Town, County or Btate Bights for the EXCLUSIVE USE of
these Machines, for sale on most favorable terms. Ma
chine Needles, also a splendid article of silk twist on spools,

SAM OF WILD CHERRY AND WOOD NAPTHA, i
or tlie complete cure of Coughs, Colds, Influenza, Asthma,
,»• onchitis, Spitting of Wood, anil ail other Lung Complaints j
- ruling to Consumption.
READ! READ!!
This justly celebrated preparation is recommended by
of the most learned and intelligent Physicians in the
country, ami will he found superior to any remedy for the ,
i'ure ot all diseases of the respiratory organs. All persons
who have used it for Asthma, Cough, Spitting of Blood,
Whooping Cough, Croup, or Hives, Consumption, Pain,
coreness of the Breast, Difficulty of breathing, and every
other disease of the Breast and Lungs, attest its superior
~-fficary in the most unqualified terms.
in Pneumonia, a disease which is generally very dan- ,
v rou- and fatal, it is confidently believed to be the safest
"""nd t! st effective remedy that an be employed. It has
been known to cure in a short time some of the most dan- ,
ierou case of Pneumonia, after it had baffled every other
remedy. ~ . ..
Bronchi.is, a disease which is annually sweeping thou
sands to a pr mature grave under the mistaken name of
Consumption, is promptly relieved and cured by it. The
symptoms of this disease (Bronchitis,) are Cough,
Difficulty ot lireat ng, Hoarseness, Soreness of the Throat ;
or Lungs, Asthma, - ectic Fever, accompanied with Spit- ,
ting of Phlegm, or mat: r, and sometimes Blood. It is an |
infiamation of the membrane which lines the inside oi the
whole o' the wind tubes or a r vessels which run through
every part of the Lungs. Th- - I*ulmoDic Balsam immccu
ately suppresses the Cough and Fain, subdues the Imfla
mution and Fever, removes the d. culty of breathing, by
producing a free and easy Expectoration, so that a care is j
s ..-.a eif -ted. It always cures in Ast ti». Two ortbiee
doses will cure the Cioup or Hives ot children in a few
minutes, and it is retnaikabie how prompt; is in subduii g
the violence of Whooping Cough, and effec* ng a speeuy
cure, and many who have been given up by t ur I’hysi- j
cians as ii arable in Consumption, have been re-tored to
perfect health by it. In fact, as a remedy in Pulir'. nary
Diseases, no medicine has ever obtained a higher or n ere
-a ■ u-ved reputation, in the short time it has been before
the public.
Vhis Pulmonic Balsam, if given in the commencement of
Pleurisy, Pneumonia-, or in acute Rheumatism, in doses
I n ■ enough '■> produce a little nausea for some time, (go
ng i • bed . ml covet ing up warm,) will produce a free per
spiration v, i.. h, if continued for two or three hours, will
subdue t!idiseases at once.
