Article 1. Tl ere (hall be perpetual peace
and friendlhip between all the citizens of the
United States of America, and -ft the indi
viduals, towns and tribes, of *he Upper,
Middle and Lower Creeks and Semanol.es,
tf'otnpofing the Creek Nation of Indians.
Art. 2 The Vnderfigned Kings, Chiefs
aind Warriors, for themselves, and all parts
cf the (reck Nation within the I mits of the
United States, do acknowledge tbemfeives,
and the said parts of the Cieek N ition, to be
under the protection of the United States of
America, and of no other luvereign wiiofo

Art. 5. The United States lolenudy gua
rantee to the Cieek Nation all their lands
within rhe limit* of the Unoed States to the

Art. 6. If auy citizen of the Uuied States
or other person not being an Indian, lli*li at
