Mr. Printer,
A SUMMARY recital of the proceedings
of the General Aflembly, fubfequeut
to the Resolves touched upon the week before
last, would, I presume, give a general fitis
fiftion to the public, viz. —ift. The con
trasted couduft of the Senate, in presenting
their thanks to the patriotic minority in the
IBeuate of the United States—*d. The con
currence of both branches in an article agreed
to, on a toinmirte* of 'conference with the
Governor, which afTerts, that the’whole of
the territory within the boundary of "he state
is the property of Georgia—3d. A recogni
tion of the said article in the appiropiiation
Aft, and 4th. The rejeftion of a bill to per
fect the Resolves firft mentioned, by yieldiug v '
the back territory to Congrefa.
These, are too lengthy difeuffions for your
Gazette of this week; it is neceftary, how.
ever, that the public mind iliouid be so far
fatiefied, as to know that such fafts exist
Perhaps yob may indulge me with room in
Tome future papers for those and some other
flriftures.
