have any claims agaiuft the fit pi will render in
their account! to George H int, or Stradfori
Brown, at the (lore of Hu:u, Stalling* and Co,
who oniy are duly autborifed to receive and
snake payments and fettle the concerns of the
said partnership, and those planters who,
thro* the faftuie of the left crops, may not find
it convenient to make immediate payment*, it
i* hoped will come down and give their ob
ligation* parable the next, and to those who
have been their constant cuftomera a further,
credit will be given, if required.

The Bate of Georgia, in unison with the
feelings of her filler ftate* lamenting this chasm
in • the inftruflion of their youth, .has fnade
the most liberal and generous appropriations
to support feminities and academies, as well
: as to ered an university for the
meut of Young Gentlemen in all. ar * and
fcicnces, and at this is truly the case, it is •
expeftad that the policy will enlarge itfelf
and extend at some future period to provide
liberally, for the support of such characters as
may be found qualified, to enlarge the female
mind, by a competent portion of ufcful and
brna mental knowledge.
Until something of this nature may take
place the proposers submit tbeir claims to
individual patronage, and if they have any
confidence, that their talents will be reward
' cd, it principally arises from the prevalent
paflion, of this empire, to rival tbeir ances
tors in fciqhce, and some iuflances of this
emulation might be mentioned, in proof
that in a (hurt period their effort# will be
fuccefttul.
In this Seminary it fs proposed to teach
Spelling, Writing, English and French Gram
mars, the Art of Reading in a style of pecu iar ,
correftoef*, Arithmetic and Geography—
The prices will be moderate and suited to the
age the number of childreb in family, as '•
wetl ss the branches of education of *
which they may be capable of attainment. <
Further particular# may be known, and
references had from Mts, Bugg, who Jiving
contiguous to this Academy, will accommo
date a few. borders on moderate terms.
