WHEREAS my wife Dorothy Gruber has for
a considerable time pall absented herfelf
from my bed and board without any just cause;
these are therefore to forwarn any person (under
pain of the penalty of the law made and provided
in that case) from harbouring the laid Dorothy or
irufting her on my account, as I am determined to
pay no debts of her contracting, and am determin
ed to put the law in full force against any person
aftine contrary to thisadvertifment.

Twenty Dollars Reward.
SI OLEN from the fubferiber, on the 13th of this
infant, in Greene county, a likely jorrlmare,
about five years old, four feet eleven inches high, her
main hangs on the near fide, has a /mail white spot
on one fide of her neck, and marked on her thigh and
fide wi h white hairs, which are very notable ; has a
fn.aU blaze in her face, trots and canters. Any per
son who will deliver the said mare to me jhall have the
a 'love reward, and on conviction of the thief fifty
dollars ,

Machine for cleaning cotton by Rollcis.
THE subs riber begs leave to inform the cotton
planters of Georgia and South-Carolina, that he has
conftrutted. a machine for cleaning cotton by rollcis,
which he will lay before the public, in the following
manner :
Six rights or Jhares will be allow'dfor each coun
ty in this state and South-Carolina, at 60 dollars
per fiare ; as many persons as chafe may be con
cerned in a fliarc, and the purchasers Jhall have the
privilege of making as many as they think proper;
but all the machines belonging to a fare, mu ft be
kept in one place only, and withih the limit: of the
county for which the fiare is tafyn. After thefrf
(f hepemb.r a model of this machine may be seen at
Petersburg, and. after the 1 ilh bf the fame month, at
1 Augujt 1 ;.. Thr'c or four dijinterefled perjons of re
jpeclabihly fialL be appointed, at both places, to
view the operation of the machine, and if they ad
judge it competent for cleaning cotton in the m<fb
expeditious manner without injuring the faple, tk.i
purchajers mus pay the money before they can flit.
This machine is easily confrucled; any ptrfort
knowing how to use common carpenter's tods, is ca
pable of doing the wood work, and alrrwfi any fruitk
can, by having patterns, make the iron work with
case—the while expevfe of making one is very trif

ing one of any ftze.
