Sixty Dollars Reward.
A BSCONDED about two
FA months past, AFFEE, a negro girl
about 5 leet 4 inches high, 16 years of
age, and supposed to be pregnant. She
went away in a brown (balloon petticoat,
a dark caliico wrapper, and a new black
caftor har. She has a variety of cloaths,
i 3 a good washer 2nd ironcr, raised to
house work, can card and spin, of few
words, but much cunning ; probably (he
may change her name and attempt a di
flance. Sixty dollars will be paid on
conviftion that she is harboured by a
white person, or free person of colour,
and ten dollars on conviftian of a Have,
and ten dollars for delivering, or lodging
her in any jail in this state or South Ca
rolina.

Notice is hereby Given,
PA AT agreeably to an act of
Congress of the United States of Ame
rica, passed at Philadelphia, the 28th day
of May y. 1796 ; laying duties on Carriages,
for the conveyance of persons, which JhaU
be kepi by or for any person, for his or her
own uft, or to let out to hire , or for thi
conveyance of pajfengers, the several duties
and rates following, to wit :
For and upon every coach, 1 j dols.
upon every chariot, 1 2 dols.
upon every pofl chariot, 12 dols.
upon every post chaifc, 12 dols.
upon every phaeton, with or without
top, 9 dols.
upon every coachee, 9 dols.
upon other carriages, having pannel
work above, with blinds, glasses or
curtains, 9 dols.
upon four wheeled carriages, having
framed po/ls and tops with Jteel

upon four wheeled carriages, with
wooden or iron /brings or jacks, 3
dols.
upon curricles with tops, 3 dols.

Notice is also given,
TO all retail dealers in Wines, and fo
reign distilled Jfirituous liquors, that h
cences will be granted to them ; one licence
for carrying on the business of retailing of
Wines, in a Ufs quantity, or in less quan
tities than thirty gallons---and one licence
for carrying on the business of retailing spi
rituous liquors in Ufs quantities than 20
gallons.
N. B. Application for the renewal of
licences, entrys of carriages , and payment
cf duties, for the ensuing 12 months, to be
made to Jojhua Meals, colUlhr of the re
venue for the county of- Richmond, at his
house in the town of Augujla.

COTTON GINNING.
fome alterations in my
GINS, Ifind them capable of cleaning
about 1 zolb. oj green feed cotton per day ; of
course the price in future will be two hun
dred dollars each, to be paid as the pur
chaser and myfelj may agree, excebl thoje
who have complied with the terms of my
former advertisement.
My intention is to eflablifh with conve
nient expedition, as many of those machines
through this state and South-Carolina,
as will clean a tonftderable fart of the crop
of cotton now growing.
If the cleaning of cotton with wooden
rollers and with the above mentioned expe
dition deftrves any encouragement from the
public, I have no doubt of receiving it,
nor need they any longer doubt the certain
ty of what I fay .
This I intend to be the lafl time that I
will pester the good people of Georgia upon
the old Jubjed of Cotton Ginning.

purchasers of farm in three adjoining
trads oj land lying on the head waters of
. Broad and Oconee rivers, and grimed it
William Call, jun. in the year 1788; one
trail containing 15,000 acres, the other
two 1 o«ooo acres each. Those lands are*
for the mojl part, very jertile, well tim
bered, and abound in cane, pea-vine and a
great variety of other luxuriant kinds of
grajs, which affords an excellent, and al
rnojt incxhaujlible range for flock.-- Having
been at conjiderable pains to invefligaie the
titles of, and excluded such elder Jurvcys
as have been found to interfere with the
lands above mentioned, / can with cbnf
■ dence assure those who may be difpojed to
become purchasers, that they will receive
undoubted rights.
'Thofe lands will be fold or leafed [to per
funs who will becomefettlers on them only)
in tracts of from one hundred to four hun
dred acres.—Prompt payment will be ex
pected of a small proportion of the confede
ration money ; payments of balances will
be made exceedingly tafy to purchasers, as
they will be received by injlalments at ro,
mote periods.
