The Editor, of the Augusta
Chronicle will avail himfelf of the above
opportunity, to present his accounts to his
subscribers, and hopes they will meet him
with that promptitude, which is necessary
to enable him to difeharge his engagements
to his different creditors—The smallness of
the accounts, and the obligation, on the
Editor’s part, of paying off, within this
year, the debt incurred by the purchase of
his Office, especially, are circumstances,
that, he is confident, will have their due
weight with his friends and the Patrons *f
the Chronicle.

NOTICE. ~
TWO new negroes were lodged in the
Jail of this place, on the 12th of No
vember last, they appear each of them to be
about twenty years of age, they can neither
of them speak English, but from their
marks appear to be of different countries
the one a Aim daik fellow about five feet
five or fix inches high, and his country
marks on his breast, the other not quite so
tall or dark, and has his country marks of
light small eruptions, forming two squares
on each cheek and chin, the former iu bro
ket Englilh calls himfelf Jacob, the latter
Sugh.
Tha owner or owners will please to call
*s soon as may be convenient, prove bis or
their property, pay charges and take them
away.
