to go forward without delay to secure
subscriptions to th» capital stock, con
struct, equip, maintain and operate
said railroad and request that they be

purpose aforesaid under the corporate
name aforesaid, together with all the
rights, powers and privileges now ot
hereafter allowed railroads under laws
of this state, with the right to apply
for and accept any additional powers
or amendments to its charter that may
be anti orized under existing laws or
any future laws, general or special, of
this state.

notice of their intention to apply for
charter by the publication of this pe

The petition of Charles L. Davis, re
siding at Warm Springs, Meriwether
County, Georgia, of O. C. Bul'.ock. T.

O. Howard, all of whom reside in Col
umbus, County of Muscogee and State
aforesaid, shows:
1. That they desire for themselves,
their associates, successors and as
signs, to be incorporated as a railroad
company, under the laws of Georgia,
tor the period of One Hundred Years,
with privilege of renewal under the
corporate name and style of "eou xt-
ihjs kokthkrx railway oo.” for the
purpose of constructing, owning,equip
ping. maintaining and operating a rail
road extending from Columbus, in the
County ot Muscogee, State of Georgia,
to West Point, or LaGrange, in the
County of Troup, in the State of Geor
gia.
2. The general direction of the main
line of said proposed road is a northern
direction, and the counties through
which it will run are the Counties of
Muscogee, Harris, Meriwether and
Troup, in the State of Georgia. The
estimated length of this road is
about sixty miles
3. That the capital stock of said cor
poration is to be One Hundred Thous
and Dollars, with the right to increase
the same for any amount, as provided
by law for increasing the stock of rail
road corporations—such stock to be
common stock, and each share to be of
the par value of One Hundred Dollars
a share.
4 The place where the principal office
of -aid corporation will he located
w ill Be in Columbus, Muscogee County
Georgia.
6. Petitioners intend, in good faith,
to go torward without delay to secure
subscriptions to the capital stock, con
struct, equip, m lintain and operate
*aid railroad ; and request that they he
incorporated under the laws of this
