Some of the farmer-* are beginning to want
the rain to atop so that they can finish plant
ing that cotton crop. The writer hopes the
rains, as a general thing will continue all
over the cotton belt a- It l** very plainly seen
that Providence is the only thing that can
cut the crop. The farmers will not. But. as
Pres. Jordon says, this fall when cotton goes
begging on the streets at 4 cents a pound, they
will wish they had cut the acreage, or reduced
the crop in some way.
