Judge Adamson Should Be Returned to, Congress
BECAUSE:
1. He has rendered able, efficient and acceptable service.
2. His opponent does not attack his public record nor disagree with him on public issues.
8. His long experience and proved ability has placed him in a position of influence and prestige in Congress
that any new man would require years to attain.
4. His distinguished services to the country have made him a ifctional^ figure, and in distinguishing hhnsokf,
he honors the people of the 4th Congressional District and of Georgia.
5. He is Chairman of the Committee on Interstate and Foreign Commerce, one of the most important com
mittees in Congress, and just at this time when all Europe is actually engaged in war, our foreign coim
merce will be demoralized, and Judge Adamson’s intimate and exac k . knowledge of our commercial rela-
’ tions with these warring nations renders his services in this crisis invaluable.
6. The Republic faces a crisis—the Democratic Party is in power for the first time in 18 years—the party to
on trial; strong men and experienced men are needed; Judge Adamson is in the thick of the fight; bo is
now steering important legislation through Congress; he is in harmony with the Administration and
' stands close to President Wilson. 1
7. The repeal of the free-tolls’ provision to American coastwise trade is largely Judge Adamsom’s rtetory.
8. Judge Adamson hears the complaint, respects the desires and works for the interest of the humblest citi
zen as readily as the most infl uential and powerful man in the District.
9. He to plain as a shoe; energetic as a Turk, sharp as a nrtar; as bigas the country; a statesman with but
few peers and no superiors; a friend to the people, alert, always on the job; just plain Charlie Adamson,
(
T yesterday today and forever. |
10. The salary he has received for 17 years the best of his life, has been expended in the service of hie peo
ple. He has not enriched himself.
11. For public and private interests, regardless of personal preference,
«.KEEP ADAMSON IN CONGRESS”
