Large Fish.— We saw yesterday, two immense sturgeons at T. W. Freeman’s, caught at Hawkiusville, the largest wh-gliing about lifty pounds. Mr. Free man is in constant receipt of shrimps, and in tact, everything for the table that the season affords. The diffi culty occurred In the “ Bon Ton” saloon-, the usual resort of colored gentlemen of leisure, and originated in a game of cards, for stakes, which passed of very pleasant ly until pay time, when a lively conttwt of heads, is. chairs ensued, lasting some minutes. $lO and cost paid the damages. The interior is being nice ly finished, and is in pleasant' contrast with its former unsightly appearance. Moderation.— We deem it hut just to Mr. CozattfcS relations, in view of all the circumstances of the case, to suggest that the captors of Smart be more moderate in their demand for the large reward, SI,OOO, offered -by Mr. Cozatt’s brother. The amount is excessive,and was named under a high state of exoitement, and the cir cumstances of Mr. Cozatt and his family will scarcelyjustify him In paying such a sum. He, and friends, we understand, have offered five hundred dollars, which with the two hundred already given by the Railroad, makes quite a snug sum. Savannah Cards.— We desire to oall attention to the advertisements in our to days issue, from Savannah. It would af ford us pleasure to speak or the firms rep resented, separately, but as we could only say for each, what we cau say for all, we desire them taken collectively and can cheerfully reeommeud them to the pat ronage of our South-Western friends, who desire to order goods. We wish our people to patronize our sea-board merchants, in preference to Northern, and if they can do as weil, which we think is a fact, we see no objection to their doing so. 'I he General declares his firm belief that the negroes of the South are fully competent to exercise the right to vote intelligently on the present issues there ; and further, that only through universal suffrage can rebel rule be broken down at the box. and that qualified suffrage would not at the present time afford means of over coming the rebel vote.
