new Choleia, and no deaths, during the
lasi 48 hours. The report from Morris
Island is also of the most cheering c<»m*

there during the last 24 hours, and tho<e
who were sick being better, and in a fait
way of recovery.
We are also authorized to state that the
vessel engaged for the transportation .of all
those of crew and passengers of the Ame
lia who are able to endurg. a voyage, went
down to the Island yesterday; aud as. the
fs now ready for their removal, and amply'
supplied with stores necessary for tire voy
age, it is expected that they will make

or fifteen hapds high, a small star in the
forehead,one hind snot white, ; svritch tail,
7or 8 years old—in good order.
The other, is a yellew bay about 14 or
14 and a half hands high, both hind feet
white, short- crop, or bob tail, in low
order.
It is believed that they will make their
way towards Madison County, where (hey
were raised. Information concerning them
by letter will be thankfully received—
or if delivered to me in Augusta, a suita

7th o) October, a negro man named Ti I'US,
hut- generally called JOHN, of a yellow com
plexion, with a small star on his face—of a good
lively countenance—about five feeksix or eight
inches high—Sbotit 30 years of rge. and -bet
little heard, a T nd weighs about one hundred and
thirty fire. It may he possible that the above
negro has been conveyed off by some-wagon
from the frontiers of Georgia, to Maron or Au
gusta, as the negro is very fond of wagoning—
or some evil disposed person may have given
him a pass to go to North Carolina, as he was
originally brbught from that State to Georgia.
If the above described negro is taken in the com
pany of a white man carrying him off, I wifi
give the above reward for the negro and thief,
or if taken by himself and lodged in some se
cure jail, and information of the fact given me,
1 will pay whatever may be fair and just The
police of Macon and Augußta .are particularly
-requested to keep a look out for the above de
scribed negro boy.
