Sec Ist. Be it ordained by the City Council
of Augusta, That all Fodder, H\y nod Oats
brought to this city ir. wagons or Curts for sale,
gha'l be weighed at the scales prepared for (bat
puridse nnr the lower market.
Sue. 21. Be it further ordained. Thai it shall
he the duty of the clerk of the lowrr market to
superintend the weighing nf all Fodder, Hay a-id
Oats, at all hours of the dnv, from sun rise till
sun set. And tha party soiling such Fodder,
Tlay or Oats, shall pay to the said clerk fifty cts
foi each wagon, and tweiily-fivt cents for each
cart or dray
Si;ts. 3d Be it further ordained, That every
person who shall violate the provisions of this
Ordinance, may be fined in a sum not exceeding
Twenty Dollars.
