AN ACT to provide fur the call of a
Convention to reduce the number, of
the General Assembly of the State
of Georgia, and for oilier purposes
therein named-
Be it enacted by the Senate and Houst
of Representatives of the State, of-Geor
gia in General Assembly out , and it is
hereby enacted by the au'horiiy of the
same , 1 hat ihe hist Monday in April,
1833, be, and ihe same is hereby desig
nated and set apart as (he day on which
(he citizens of Georgia qualified 10 vote
for members oi the Legislature, shall at
the several places prescribed by low f*r
holding such elections vote for delegates
to represent theta in Convention,'in num
ber equal to their representation in both
branches of the General Assembly; such
elections to be conducted, managed and
certified under the same law as are of
force in respect to elections of members
of the General Assembly.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted , That
it shall be tire doty of such managers ro
transmit to His excellency tire Governor
the result of said-elections under the laws
now offeree sot conducilag managing and
certifying elections of membersof General
Assembly as aforesaid, vviiltiti 30 days af
ter such elect Wheredpou it is made

the good people of Georgia in Convention
as contemplated by this act.
Sec. 3, And be it further-enacted, That
every citizen of ihe United States shall be
eligible to a seal in said Conven'inn who
has a tained (he age of-tvyerny five years,
and beeff ab inhabitant of this S ale seven
yearsdmroediately preceding the day of
niselection and who shall have resided
one year in the county sot which he shall
be elected.
Sec. 4, And be it further enacted, That
each member returned as duly elecied,
shall previous to taking his seat in said
Convention take the* following oath, or
affirmation, vizr f', A. B do solmnlyt
swear, that I will not attempt to add to,
or take from the constitution or attempt
to change or alter any other section,clause
or article of the constitution of the S ate
»f Georgia, other than those touching the
representation in the General Assembly
thereof; and that I have been a citizen
of this state for the last seven year?, so
help me God. And any person elected
to a sea tin said Couveu i<>n, who shall
refuse to take thb utift aforesaid,shall not
I be allowed to take firs seat in said Con
vention.

ter their election, at Miltedgeville, in
the Representative Chamber of the Smte
House, for the purpose of entering upon
and c nsommating the great objects of
their convention, to-wit:a reduction and

after be created by law, shall be entitled
to at least one representative in the rep
resentative branch of the General Assem
bly.

—his dam Rosa Carey, was by Sir Ar
chy—his grand dam Sally Jones, by im
ported Wrangler—who was by imported
Diomed the sire of Sir Archey. The
Pedigree of Quidnunc is not only first
