Whereas great inconvenience and danger results
to the inhabitants of the city of Savannah from
hi.rses and other animals running at huge in the

no hone, gelding, mare, colt, filly, mule or jack-

November and ihe fint day of May in every year
from and after the pairing of tbs act be permit
ted or allo.wed to go at large within the limits of
the said city.
And be it further ordained. That all and every
owner or owners of any hone, gelding, mare,
coll, filly, mule or jackass that shall be found go
ing kt large within the limits of the city of Sa
vannah between the days aforesaid, ahaU be’fined
lor each and every offence in a sum not exceeding
fivc’dolUrs and costs.
And be it further ordapagd. That in any .earn
when the owner or owner* of any bone, gelding,
mare; colt filly, mule iy jackass that may be go-
mgat large in the yard city of Savannah, in vio
lation of this ordinance, cannot be ascertained,
that it shall and may he lawful for the city mar
