The brig George Little, Suuthwick, 93 days
from Rotterdam, bound to Boston, took a pilot
yesterday. The G L. has experienced much
sad weather, and is short of provisions, which
{propelled her tabcar away fortius port.
The ship Andrew Jackson, capt Murton, from
Bristol, (England) tfor this port, with a very
valuable cargo of hardware, tin, paints, Ac went
ashore yesterday morning, about 2 o’clock, near
Baroagat. Sixty ■ hogsheads of hardware were
immediately thrown overboard to lighten the abip
and alt tail set (the wind being off shore) to get
tier off, without success. Signals of distress were
then hoisted, and at IB a n. when our informant
left her, three boats were going from the shore,
which would take off the passengers and crew if
found necessary. She has up wan Is of 60 pas.
