It being deemed expedient by' the Board ot Director*,
that another Installment of the Stock of the Bank of the
State of Georgia should be called in, and that the Stock
holders should be required to pay a proportion thereof
in specie.
Notice is hereby given, that, agreeably to a resolution
of the Directors of this date, twenty -three per centum
on each share, of the Stock of the Bank, is required to
be paid by the Stockholders, on or before the second
Monday in December next; that five dollars, in specie,
be paid on each share, as part of the said twenty-three
per cent, and the balance in bills of either of the Bank*
of Georgia.
The Stockholders are further notified, that Cashier's
Certificates of Stock w ill be issued in lieu of the Com
missioners’ Certificates, held by the Stockholders, upon
the delivery of the Commissioners’ Certificates, at the
time of piy ing the Instalment, as above required.
Western Stockholders are informed, that they may pay
said Instalment, and receive their Stock Certificate*, on
delivering.the Commissioners’ Certificates, atieither of
the Offices established at Augusta and Milledgeville, to
soon as they shall be in operation, which willl be in a

BANK OF GEORGIA.
Whereas, it is represented, that it will be more con
venient to many of the Stockholders, that the time pre
scribed for the payment of the Instalment of twenty*
three per cent, which includes the five per cent of specie,
directed by the board, on the 20th September, 1816,
should be extended.
Jiesoh-ed unanimously, That the time be, and the same fs
hereby extended to the second Monday in’January next,
and that the Cashier give notice, that the said Instalment
is required to be paid on or before the said second Mon
day in January next.

Joseph Hill lately resided—it is a substantial well built

confined at the suit of Barrett A Sims, on bail .process,
and that lie is unable to pay his debts, or to support him
self in his confinement, but is willing to make a fair sur
render of all his estate, real and personal, for the benefit
of his creditors, in terms oi the Insolvent Acts of this
