The village of Powelton enjoys a high, agreea
ble and wry healthy situation. The society of
the place is eminently moral; too small indeed
for frequent scenes of riot and dissipation, bat
sufficiently extensive for the improvement of the
youth of both sexes, who resort hree for the pur
pose of education.
