adnvalty court of the United Sates for said dis

follows: That on tbe sixth day of April, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighteen, there arrived in a bay, port, or harbour,
wuhin the jurisdiettonal limits of the United States,

diction of Ibis honorable court, having, on board
one or more negro or negroes, or person or per
sons ol color, for the purpose of selling such ne
gro or negroes, or person or persons of color, as
a slave or slavta, or with intent to leave such ne
gro or negroes, or person or persons of color, in
some port or place, within the jurisdiction of llie
U States there to be held to service or labour,con
trary to the provdkms of an act of the congress
of the United Sates, passed the second day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and seven.
That by means of which actings and doings, and
by force of the act of congress aforesaid, toe said
ship or vesvel caded the Carmckta, together with
her tackle, apparel and furniture, and the negroes
and effects found on board of her, have become
forfeited to the United States, and the -negro or
negroes, or person or persons of color, so im
ported and found on board of her, by force of
tbe laws of the United States, are to be delivered
to the person or persons who may have been ap
pointed by the state of Georgia to receive them.
Now, therefore, you, tbe said marshal, are bore
by commanded to cite and admonish, all and (ve
ry person or persons, having or pretending to,
have, any right, title, wiriest, claim, property, or
demand, of, in, to «r upon, the said vessel the
Carmelcta, her tackle, apparel and furniture and atl
