Learning is the comfort of man.
Commercial and Grammatical Education,
This cchool will be under the direction of
Lorn Falugaict, first and real pedler of Savan
nah, from the first of July to the thirthietb of Oc
tober of each year. • v
He proposes teaching all kinds of writing, which
he will demonstrate by a new and approved meth
od, which will enable his pupils to obtain advan
tageous success in a few months’ lessons. He al
so proposes to teach the French and English lan
guages, the ancient and modern mode of calculi-
'ions, foreign exchange and book-keeping, by
double entry.
In order to exercise and improve faithless me
moirs, he will afford such explanations as to satis
fy the least developed intelligence. His acquire
ments aie reduced to such clear and certain priii*
c'tples, that the progress at Ids pupils must be
rapid, if their industry equals his zeal.
To Frenchmen who wuh io acquire a correct
knowledge of principle*, be will teach thisim.
>ortant point in the orthography of the French,
anguage.
The ignorant or ill disposed may be induced to
enquire, whence so much learning? He answer*
that the most learned, wealthy, powerful and well
born and bred is not etempted from misfortune
to be called to s profession below his merit and.
original condition. He further observes,, that the
laborer is worthy of his hire, and that none but
fool? deride the hones: poor. june 22-|* , -.46
