The following LANDS lying in the county of
Camden and slate of Georgia:
6070 acres—The well knownfplace called Cole,
raine, in the rivet St. Mary’s, about thirty miles
above the town, and occupying the north bank of
the river, about three miles.
11,015 acres in three tracts, at M‘Girths ferry,
occupying the north bank of St. Mary’s river sev
eral miles, and lying a little above the former.—
The whole forming one body, and no part^nore
than two and a half miles from the river.
Some Lots in the town of St. Mary’s, anil a
small tract of 100 acres on the high point of Cum
berland island. The St. Mary’s lands haye a
quantity of tide swamp, but are mnstiy valuable
for their pine and cypress timber. The river is
navigable, for vessels drawing 14 feet water, to
Coleraine, and 12 feet to M‘Girth’s ferry. The
titles for these lands are unquestionable, and will
be guaranteed by tne owner, (in whose possession
they have long been) and whose ability to do so
will not be questioned. They will be sold in small
tracts, or otherwise, on favorable terms to suit
purchasers, as the proprietor has determined to
close bis business in Georgia as soon as possible.

To amend an ordinance for regulatirg Carts and
Dr*ys within the city, and for other purposes.
lie it ordained, by the mayor and aldermen of the
c ty of Savannah, in council assembled, and it is
hereby ordained by the authority cf the same, That
no white person or person of color under the age
of seventeen years, shall have the charge of, or
shall drive within the jurisdiction of this corpora
tion any cart, dray or other licensed vehicle from
and after the first day cf August; and if any white
person, or person of color i.nder the age afore
said, shall so have charge or drive any such cart,
dray or other licensed vehicle, the owner or own
ers of such cart, dray or vehicle shall forfeit such
license, and to be liable to a penalty for each of
fence not exceeding ten dollars, any oidinance to
the contrary notwithstanding.

Whereas, a libel hath this day been filed, in the
admiralty court of the United States, for said dis
trict, by John Jackson, commander of the revenue
cutter Dallas, for and on behalf as well of the
Urited States, as of the officers and ci ew of the
said revenue cutter Dallas, stating that a certain
schooner, or vessel, now called, as ilie libellant
hath been informed, “the Felix,” and formeilv the
Poiitena, was, on orabou* the fust day of April,
in the present year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and eighteen, in the port of Savan
nah, in the district of Georgia aforesaid, and with
in the limits of the United stales, or in some oth
er port or place within the limits of the United
States, flitted out and armed by a certain person
or persons, with the intent that the said schooner
or vessel should be employed in the service of a
foreign state,colony, district or people, to cruize
or commit hostilities^ or to aid or co-operate in
some warlike manner, against the subjects and
property of his majesty the king of Spain, a prince
with whom the United States then were, and now
are, at peace, conlrarv to the provisions of the
act of the congress of the United State., entitled,
“an act more effectually to preserve the neutral
“relations of the United States,” passed on the
third day of March, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventeen;—by rea
son of which said premises and by force nf the
said act of the congress of the United States, the
said schooner or vessel, called the Felix, or Po-
litina, together with her tackle, apparel and fur
niture, and all the materials, arms, ammunition
and stores, onboard the said vessel, and procur

the said revenue cutter Dallas.
