The steam-bcat Company are desirous of con-
trading for a regular supply of WOOD, to be or
dered for the use of the steam boats the ensuing
season, at convenient landing places on Oconee
and Altamahs rivers. The Wood must be of pitch
vine, cut from the bodies of large trees, of high
and growth, ar.d well seasoned.—Light-wood
would be r referred. Persons willing to contract
for the dflivrrj- at one or more landings, will
send their proposals, specifying the rate per cord
and the name of the landing, its estimated distance
from Darien, Mrledgeville. or some public place.

100 dollars' reward.
The subscriber’s mulatto boy DANIEL, about
the age of seventeen, left him in April last, and
has lately been seen in the neighborhood of'Sa
vannah. It is supposed that he is harboured on
seme plantation, not fir distant from town, and
tlie above reward will be paid for hiszpprehension
and delivery to the subscriber, or at any gaol in
the state.
Daniel is not wellgrown for his age, has a small
black mould on the side of his forehead, his teeth
rather irregular, and has a full head of hair; his
complexion also, is rather darker than the gener
ality of mulattoes; he is intelligent, smart and ac
tive. Should there be any proof of his bang
harboured by a white person, an additional sum
of fifty dollar* wiil be paid, or if by a f)l*ck per
son twenty-fire dollars.
