The whole forming one body, and no part more
than two and a half miles from the river.
Some Lots in the town of St Mary’s, and

berland island. The St. Mary’s lands have
quantity of tide swamp,, but are mostly valuable
for their pine and cypress timber The river is
nav.gable.for vesartb drawing 14 feet water, to
Coleraine, and 12 feet to M'Cirth’s ferry. The
titles for these lands are unquestionable, and will
be guaranteed by tne owner, (in whose possession
they have long been) and whose ability to do so
will not be questioned. They wifi be sold in small
tracts, or otherwise, on favorable terms to suit

Upon the petition of Robert May, praying the
foreclosure of the equity of redemption of and in
n certain half lot of land, situate, lying and being
-in the city of Savannah, in New.Franklin ward,
and known and distinguished in a plan of the said
-city by the number (9) nine, subject to an annual
ground rent to tbe corporation of Savannah, and
originally purchased by Christopher Hall, together
.with a two story house, situated' thereon, and all
other improvements, which said half lot of laud
and improvement* were mortgaged to the said
Hubert May, on the twenty-ninth day of June,
.one tbousaud eight hundred and fifteen, by Aaron
Baaiecn, to secure the payment of a certain bond
•or obi gation, bearing date with the said mortgage,
and duly made and executed by the said Aar n
-Ba-teen, to the said Robert May; which said bond
is for tbe sum of four hundred dollars with ii •
.tercet from the date, and payable on the first day
of January, eighteen hundred and sixteen; and it
appearing that the aforesaid sum of lour hundred

been paid in, twenty dollars are reqniied
to be paid, on or before Tuesday, the 15th of
December next, and the remaining twenty dollars,
on or before Friday, 12th February, 1819. Hol
ders of shares, on which more than sixty dollars
have been paid, are called upon to pay one half
of the amount due on their stock, on or before

chandize, are considered hazardous, and ate chaig

Tavern-keepers, Tobacco-manufacturers, Chins
Glass, and Earthen-ware in packages, Bookseller
stock, chip and straw hats, flax, hemp, groceries,
including spirituous liquors, oil, pitch, salipetr.

The following trades and occupations, good
wares and merchandize, are deemed extra hazard
ous, and will be charged 25 cents and upward
per glOO, in audition to the premium above spe
cified, for each class, viz:
.Apothecaries or Druggists, Boat-builders, Coacl
makers, Soap-boilers, fallow and Ship chandlers.
Cabinet makers. Carpenters in their own shop,
or in buildings erecting or repairing. Chemists,
China, Glass and Earthen-ware selltrs, Coopers,
Dyers, Founders, Musical instrument-maker,
Jewellers, and all manufactories requiring the usi
offire heat;. aqua-fortis, ether, gun-powder, spir-
its of turpentine, liAy, straw, fodder, and grain un
threshed.
Mem—Grist-mills, fulling mills, paper mills,
saw mills, and other mills, distilleries, bakeries,
breweries, malt-houses, printing offices, book
binderies, and sugar refineries, will be insured at
special rates of premium.
N. B. Country houses, standing detached from
other buildings, though of the third class, will be
insured a: 100 cents per one hundred dollars.—
Barns and Stables, in the country at 125 cents per
one hundred dollars.
(j^ Ships in port, or their cargoes; and ship
building or repairing, may be insured against fire
Applications lor insurauce on property out cf
the city of New-York, must be in writing, and
specify the construction and materials of the build
ing to be insured, or containing the properly to
be insured; by whom occupied; whether as a pri
vate dwelling, or how otherwise; its situation With
respect to contiguous buildings, and their con
struction and materials; whether any manufactory
is carried on within or about it; and, in ca-t
of goods anil merchandize, whether or not
they are of the description denominated haz
ardous or extra hazardous. And if any person
insuring any building or goods in this office,
shall describe tbe same otherwise than as they
really are, so that the same be insured at less
than the, rate of premium specified in the print
ed proposals of the company, such insurauce shall
be void and of no effect
No insurance, whether original or continued,
shall be conridered as binding, until the actual pay.
ment of the premium.
Goods held in trust, or on commission, are
to he insured as such; otherwise the policy will
not cover such property.

Cash sale of Slaves.
The subscribers will oiler for sale, by public
auction at tlie Roy ill ton Mills, in the county of
Amelia, near the Appomattox river, about forty
miles from Richmond, and fif*y above Petersburg,
on the 71st December next, if lair, if not, the next
fair day thereafter, at least one hundred and fifty
SLAVES, certainly; and probably more. These
slaves are believed to be a choice parcel; nearly
.lie whole of them, with the ir descendants, having
been assigned to a lady in right of dower, and
many of tliem originally selected out of a much
greater number. They will be distributed by lot,
before the day of sale, under a judicial decree,
amongst tbe revitioners, in ce nsequence of an
agreement be tween them and the tenant io dower
made for that purpose. " ’
Persons desirous of purchasing slaves, may be
supplied with them at this sale of almost'any des
cription. Distant purchasers are hereby assured,
that the sale will be made without reserve, unless
prevented by some unforesen occurrence, beyond
the control of the subscribers— and tbit the term*
will be cash.
