Wen esteemed a great defect It generally arises
through violent exercise, from whence nrwo per
spirations, which too frequently occasion a loss
of the hair*—it relaxes the roots—the acidity pre
vents tho fluid acting on the hair, which occasions
it to waste. For instance, after a violent perspi
ration tho hair becomes dry, it feels extremely
harsh, nnd no elasticity in it whntevor; therefore,
to prevent its taking an effect on the hair, first
mb the hair dry with a cloth, then apply the Cos-
sada Oil to the roots of the hair, so Uiat tho skin
of the head may be moistened, and remain so nf-
‘ r each lima of perspiration.
