A Certain Care for Sick IIcad-
Aclie.
W HICH has been used in families. every
member df which has had sick headache
' from infancy.iis a constitutional family complaint,
and lias cured effectually in every instauce yet
known, amounting to many hundreds. It is not
unpleasant to the taste, nnd does not prevent the
daily avocations ofone using it: it must be perse
vered in. and the enre is gradual, but certain Hnd
permanent. Instances nre constantly multiply
ing where Uiis distressing complaint ucumpletc-
1 ly relieved nnd cured, although of years standing,
by the use of Dr. Spobn’s celebrated remedy.
One decided preference is its pleasantness, hav
ing none of the nauseating effects of common
drugs.
In all dyspeptic symtoms, costiveness, irregu
larity, distress after meals, pains in the side and
torpidity of the liver, the cure is perfect, and any
- one so afflicted will become immediately convin-
it, that he has at lost found a “sover-
■ ‘hid wounds.” Females are particu-
tended to nse it for costiveness or ir-
ind other female complaints. It is
rrcct vitiated and disordered humor*
stomach in most perfect order. Those
persons who after an evenings indulgence at par
ties, Ac. have headache and dullness tho next
day, will find this a sure preventive if taken at
bed time. For all common complaints, in a few
days it* virtue* will he self-evident, and a complete
cure will sqon he effected. When a person has
a cold and feel* unwell, generally a free use ofit
for a few ^ays will he sure to relieve without
physic or pills. To children it may be given with
the greatest ad vantage.
In all acidity orsournessofstomachthia remedy
is sovereign and invaluable; os a general family
medicine it is now adopted by many of the most
respectable familes. Jtnever sickens the stomach
or produces sny of the unpleasant effects ofphysic.

Henry’s Genuine Calcined Mag
nesia,
TS highly beneficial in all diseases of the atom-
X ach and bowels which are attended with acid
ity, and gives immediate relief to the Heartburn.
The effects of excess in eating or drinking are
generally relieved by it, and it affords one of the
mildest lind most pleasant aperients, especially
to persons who, from a sedentary life or other
• causes, are tinder the frequent necessity of hav
ing recourse to laxatives. To persons of a bil
ious or a gouty habit, it may be recommended
with peculiar propriety: apd its virtues have been
repeatedly testified in the diseases of warm cli
mates. Many of the complaints of children, in
early infancy, and even at more advanced peri-
- - oils, are attended with acidity; and in such cases,
0 the Culcined Magnesia has a great advantage
. over other absorbents, viz: that it both neutrali
zes tho acid in tho alimentary canal, and arts as
an efficacious yet gentle purgative.

Dr. Liimmiis’ Aromatic Vege
table Bitters,
For Jaundice, Indigestion, Weak Stomach, Ac.
T HESE Bitters are composed of vegetables
of the most innocent, yet specific virtues,
nnd have been highly extolled by thousands who
have experienced theireflicucy m tho above nnm-
ed complaints. They are iu fact the best sto
machic and corrective tiie vegetable kingdom fur
nwhes. They are highly useful ns a preventive
against fever, and are very serviceable at all sea
sons of the year, moro particularly in the spring
and summer months, when persons of bilious
habits experience that total loss of appetite, disa
greenhle listlessness and relaxation orthe sj item.
They strengthen the stomach, procure a good ap
petite, promote digestion, purify the blood, and
restore the invalid to his original strength and
vigor. Most of the Bitters with which the mar
ket is now supplied arc nothing more than cheap
groggy preparations, sold nt a high price, nnd
bought mainly for their intoxicating properties.
Thpse llittars are superior to any that nre, or
ever have been offered to the public. Being
pungently nronmtic, they nre pnrtinulnrly recom
mended to Beafuring persons us an antidote a-
gainst the Scurvy. Persons laboring under the
mfirmitiesnf olu age,, will find these Bitters to
prove a wholesome, agreeable nnd invigorating
stomachic cordial, increasing the appetite and as
sisting digestion in a remarkable degree, removing
those low spirited and trembling sensations, the
sure effect ofa wantof tone in the system. They
are peculiarly adapted to those who are troubled
with Dinrhasa, or Weakness of the Bowels, Ac.

PETER’S PILLS.
W E would call attention to the advertisement
in onr columns to-day ofPETERS'VEG
ETABLE PILLS. We understand by the best
medical authority, that there is no preparation of
the day which enjovs so enviable a reputation.
At the South and North, their success has been
unbounded, and wherever introduced we believe
they have givon the most perfect satisfaction.
We have this day had an interview with one of
our citizens, Henry K. Fox, who was recently
cured ofa most remarkable and obstinate cuta
neous eruption, where the body was covered with
fulsome ulcers, and even the tonsils of the throat
eaten away—and by using these Pills daily for six
weeks, was entirely restored to hoalth.—New
York Examiner.
PETERS’ VEGETABLE PILLS.
They do indeed restore the health of the body,
because they purify and invigorate the blood, and
their good effects are not counterbalanced hy any
inconvenience; being composed entirely of veg
etables. they do not expose those who use them
to danger, and their effects are os certain a* they
nroBnlutaiy; thoy nre daily ond safely adminis
tered to infancy, youth, manhood and old age, and
to women in the most criticaland delicate circum
stances, they do not disturb or shock the animal
ftmetinns, but restores their order and re-estab
lishes their health; aud for all the purposes which
a vegetable purgative, or certain cleanser of the
whole system are required, they stand without a
rival.

_ BEWARE OF FRAUD.
IE unprecedented popularity of thlibenefi-
cent and inestimable CORDIAL in the U-
rated States, has induced ono or more unprinci
pled persons to manufacture spurious catchpenny
articles, under various names, and purporting to
produce the same effect} but which, in reality, pro
duce no other effect than thnt of swindling tho
public; nnd to give a yet more plausible appear
ance of their cupidity, thobe persons affect tint
their wretched nostrums have been in use in
England and elsewhere fora number of years:
whereas, until the illustrious Dr. Mngnin made
his wonderftil discovery, no euro for barrenness
had boon ever thought of, ornt least made pub-
lie {and all thosothonin use for the restoration
oftho docayed virile powers were found to be of
but little avail. Thus, all nostrums advertised
fur barrenness orthe cure of Impoteney, but Dr.
Magnin’s nro more catchpenny humbug*, which
would never have been thought of but lor the op-
learance and great celebrity of tho LUCINA
CORDIAL. As no counterfeit of the nnmo is
at present in circulation, it may in general be a
sufficient caution for the purchaser to ask for the
Lticinn Cordial, but as further assurance,it would
be as well to note that iu name, Lucinn Cordio!
or Elixir or Love, is stamped in the glass of each
bottle—the combined arms of Franco and the U-
nited States are on the outward envelope—thnt
q Fleur de Lis is primed on the accompanying
directions, nndbeautiftrily embossed on the show
bills hanging in the stores of those who have the
genuine article for sale.
The celebrity of the Lucinn Cordial being such
as it is, it is scarcely necessary to add flint it is the
only efficient remedy for barrenness, and the res-
toration or decayed virile powers ever known;
and thatin tho cure of Fluor Albus,Gleet, obstruc

Hum an Hair.
T HE diseases oftho hair among u* are those
which occasiou baldness and gradual failing
off of theJiair, and thinness ofit—the causes of
which arise from many disorders, especially fe
vers; perspiration, winch extends the pores, re
laxes the roots, causes the Imir to fall off. and of
ten occasions total baldness. Baldness hns ever
been esteemed a great defect. It generally arises
through violent exercise, from whence arise per
spirations, which too frequently occasion a loss
of the hair—it relaxes the roots—the acidity pre
vents the fluuiacting on the hair, which occasions
it to waste. For instance, after a violent perspi
ration the hair becomes dry, it feels extremely
harsh, and no elasticity in it whatever; therefore,
to prevent its taking nn effect on the hair, first
rub the hairdry with a cloth, then apply the Cus-
soda Oil to the roots of tho hair, so that the skin
of thn head may he moistened, and remuin so uf-
ter each time of perspiration.

The proprietor rejoices in tho opportunity af

vegetable, and contain neither mercury, antimo

never before administered in so happily effica

THE PHCENIX BITTERS are so cnlled, be-

composed of roots found only in certain parts of
the western country, which will infaliblv cure

fail to eradicate entirely all the effects of mercury

glass full, in water or wine, and this quantity may
be taken two or three times a day, about half an
hour before meals, or a less quantity may bo ta
ken at all times. To those who are affiictefl with
indigestion nfter meuls, these Bitters will prove
invaluable, as they very greatly increase the ac
tion ofthe principal viscera, help flumi to perform
